1.8 stroker kit

Hey every1, im new to the EK9 org, been looking around on here for a while now. Can somebody explain what a 1.8 stroker kit is? does this kit perform like a 1.8 engine kit or something?

You basically change the engine displacement from 1.6 to 1.8 L leading to chain reactions like increase in hp, torque, fuel consumption etc........And since you mention this, this mod has huge effect on the EK9....:shocked:
 
So are these kits expensive? im from UK by the way. Im getting the 9 next April somewhen so just wana get some knowledge on the mods.

yeah but remember, shipping + taxes, If I buy that kit from the USA I"ll finally pay like 1500 - 1650 $ :nono:
 
the following text is taken directly from your link:

"Kit consists of crankshaft, pistons w/ wristpins, piston rings, connecting rods and a 2ply. Spoon metal headgasket."

that would be a complete kit minus the bearings.
 
What is needed in regards to re-mapping when stroking the B16 with the above kit. Custom ECU? Fuel pressur regulator ?
 
ye u would need a P28 ECU out an ITR iv been told u can run them off the 1.6 ECU but not very well and i wouldnt try it just stick to the ITR one
