What are everyones opinion on 15' wheels with semi slick tyres weighing in at 14.8kg for track use?
Good, bad, too heavy for 15's?
Roughly works out to 6kg for a wheel and 8kg for the tyre.

Sounds about right. Although I'll weigh a wedsport when I get a chance.

195's mate on rota slips, i aint going to be able to go lighter unless i splash out on spoon/regamasters which is no chance!

Yeah kilo or two of each wheel, its tyre weight that needs to be taken into factor too. I think the lightest anyone could go is 12kg on 15's

I hear you. I've had various sizes, and various makes and tbh the only thing ive really noticed is the change of gearing. I know unsprung weight is supposed to be a big thing, but I think you'd need to be bang on lap times and consistent to notice a significant change in performance.

Definately, when you say change of gearing what exactly do you feel in the performance with your car? Personally i actually prefer in-car weight to going lighter as with the weight handling feels more stable, but then again i dont go chasing laptimes or maybe i need to change my driving style on track.

On the front so far I've gone 195/50/15..205/50/15..225/50/15

It's pretty much a final drive change down for every size I've gone up. So the car doesn't accelerate as quickly, but at a given rpm your actually going quicker. I've found it helpful as its made it easier to stay in gear coming into corners.
This is a great little calculator for working out what difference size Tyres does to speed

I had 15x8 1.2s with 245/45 R888s on - i couldnt really lift them off the floor. my te37s I can probably lift above my head with one hand - massive difference! they're 6.5j with 195/50 though

Finally got round to weighing a wedsport tc05 with a Dunlop dz03g in 195/50/15
Ignore the dirty wheels (rc6 life)
