172 clio or 182 !


Lets be honest here. During a race who actually races to top speed? Never happens in the real world.
 
if you compare standard on standard, a ek4 wont touch a clio sport, im not trying to cause any arguments here, an ek4 wont touch an ep3 either

the clio and ep3 are both very evenly matched

Just my view as I would hope a standard ek9 would beat my lightly modded ek4 and I can beat a clio sport with an exhaust system

those mods wont gain the clio a second on the quarter mile but im sure it would dip into the high 14s to be on a par as the ek9 or maybe even quicker
 
Only one way to settle this haha standard ek9 and standard clio 182 on 1/4 mile. My money would be on ek9. As I have seen standard 182's run about mid 15's and I am sure an ek9 would beat that time.

Handling on a track I recon could be close if the clios are as good as people say.
 
that chap on here who used to own the toy blue ek9(who now owns a dc5) said his mates 172 was quicker than his ek9

finding out which is faster around the track will be difficult, you would need a pro who can push the car its limits to find that out
 
B road - 172 every time

Track - 9 every time

I'm sure most commenting on this thread have not driven both. But blinkered people always love a bandwagon.
 
Find that weird right enough how my ek4 lightly modded beat a 172 and yet some say a standard 9 wont. I will need to compare my car to a standard 9 at somepoint but I aint expecting to win lol

Correct haven't drive one just seen them go. My mate has a 182, will need to ask him for a shot or to take me a spin :nice:p
 
driven clio 172, 182, 182 trophy, dc2, ek9, ep3 so im allowed to speak lol!

could well have been a 1.4 clio with clio sport bodywork on it, it doesnt take much to make a clio look like a sport
 
Cant comment on the condition but my friend with the 182 I could compare with him at somepoint. See how that one goes :)

haha! don't be stupid, a car with just over 160 bhp doing 168mph??

no wonder you think they're fast, the speedo must be broken, you would need circa to 300bhp to reach those speeds

i know someone who did 150mph in a 172, not the cleverest thing he ever did i must admit but there was still some left in the in it aswell
