Up for sale is my 1999 Subaru Impreza RB5 WR Sport

Just under 92k miles. Not a full service history as the previous owner done some of the maintenance and work on the car himself, but he has documented everything very well. Lots of receipts and bills

4 previous owners. I have only had the car since 7th February 2015. An itch that required scratching for me was the Subaru Impreza, and the car was taken as part exchange towards my Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3 which the previous owner of this RB5 (James Waller) is now cherishing as his own.

The M3 was being sold to help fund my wedding *which is less than 11 months away. The cash part of the deal has been used both improving the Impreza and purchasing 'wedding stuff' - you can guess which i have enjoyed more.

RB5 No 388 of 444. Also a WR Sport making it a little rarer than the norm again. Have a look at the number plate, its the same 3 digits as the model number. Coincidence most likely, but a nice touch.

Modifications are a decat pipe that has been heat wrapped, mated to a custom stainless exhaust system. Green panel filter, Forge VTA dump valve, Walbro 255 fuel pump, and an Andy Forrest Remap to align all modifications perfectly and allow car to run and perform to the best of its capabilities. Andy commented himself on how good the engine is, runs perfect, very quiet, smooth acceleration, Andys the remap totally transformed the car. Its running approx 280bhp and 300lb/ft going by Andys computer graphs. Nothing earth shattering, as i wanted the car to be running 100% safe but to the engines optimum rather than push for power.

Brakes are Godspeed discs with EBC blue stuff pads. Front callipers have been rebuilt and refurbished, all in perfect working order.

Wheels are standard and just been fully refurbished, so immaculate condition. Fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2 tyres, all with lots of tread remaining.

Suspension is OEM equipment as found on WR Sport models.

Exterior modifications are minor changes to the lighting, with some JDM rear lights and clear front and side indicators, and a smaller front registration plate.

The stereo system is an Alpine bluetooth handsfree head unit. Upgraded speakers all round powered by a PLS Amplifier. Not a boy racer/chav stereo build. The amplifier is mounted to the rear seat bench so full use of the boot is there. The boot also has a Subaru heavy duty rubber lining matt.

Please note i have all original parts to come with the car also - the Prodrive exhaust, the lights, the original dump valve, and a few other spares.

The original RB5 matts are still in the car. I would like to replace these but its very difficult to get a clean original set.

The interior is fitted with an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge. The drivers seat is the only downside with some very minor fraying occurring on the base. Very difficult to spot unless really looking for them.

Zero rust - car is very very clean, i haven't seen a classic Subaru this clean and rust free for many years. I have just had both sides painted as the car was fitted with side bump strips that detracted from the look of the car. They had been poorly fitted previously, and in turn pulled the paint form the doors upon removal. Devastating really, but the car is now spot on after being repaired. The paint job is fantastic.

There is a very small imperfection to the bonnet. This is due to a previous owner not removing the protective film from the bonnets leading edge. There is a slight colour difference that again needs major attention paying to it to be noticed. I will have the bonnet and the grill painted for new buyer if the full asking price is met

I am also planning to have the cars fluids all replaced and 12 months MOT for the new buyer. I believe the current MOT expires on July 18th 2015

The only thing i would change on the car is to lower it very slightly to improve handling and make the car sit a bit lower down. I am reluctant to do this to the car however due to the suspension being original and in excellent working order.

I have recently had the car fully detailed at a local company to me. He had the car for a full week. It was mainly to attempt to remove the paint imperfection on the bonnet, but it is unachievable and to rectify this it does need painting.

I will let the pictures of the car do the talking for now. I'm located in Falkirk, Central Scotland.

Asking price is £6290ovno

Ideally looking for a cash sale -but tempt me with PX if you have something to offer.

Admin - could you possibly change the title to '1999 Subaru Impreza RB5 WR Sport #388' please.

Thanks

You can change the title your self by "editing thread",
But I've done it for you anyway :nice:

Rare to find one of these that's clean underneath Glwts.

Thanks b16 mini - i tried pressing 'edit' and chose other options, it would let me edit all details inside the thread but not the title. I'm assuming you will have different views/access being admin/moderator?

Also thanks for the comments guys - it's absolutely the cleanest original classic i have seen for many many years. Lovely car to drive also, especially after the remap.

My view is different yes, but there should still be a way to do it, but I can't remember exactly how, if your on a mobile type device some icons and options may be missing

Found it - under 'thread tools' - i'll know for next time. Thanks again!
