2000 Black EK9 Type RX (Mega Spec)

Wow serious spec right there!

I hate too say it but I do think you will make more splitting!

Id definately be taking the gearbox and bonnet for sure - the spec list makes me consider selling mine and buying this it really is a nice car!

Good luck with the sale,

Josh..

Id battle you to the Death for the Gearbox off the car

Both your cars are modded so I would definately loose in the power side of things.

... But if you mean a different battle, i'll have you know im a bare knuckle boxing champion - so anytime :naughty:

Josh.. :))

Aye well, wel wear gloves and il win

Well i'm abit of Germain St pierre on the streets :naughty:

Haha love it! Well im currently pricing up a full custom MFactory gearbox. After brakes, I will be saving like a demon to get a good solid box built - I know it will be expensive, but reliable and a substantial increase in performance!

... if it comes to it i'll let you guys bitch over the box whilst I try and get the stroked monster :D

... alternatively the owner will keep the car and we can all be happy that he hasnt sold :nice:

Josh..

Joshy boy i was teasing you.... i really can't afford MODS at the moment :(

But do wish this car remains with the OWNER, such a weapon!!!

lol @ the banter guys!! :)

Unfortunately this car has defo got to go, its just not suitable for punting to work and back... plus, its not really fair on the car, its a really special car so it deserves to be treated properly and not used to commute hundreds of miles IMO...... its brilliant condition, but after 6, 9, 12 months of motorway driving as much as I try to avoid it, the car would begin to get stone chipped, pick up parking dings in work car park etc and that would break my heart.

I am willing to listen to genuine offers around the advertised price, would love it to stay in the owners club if possible (it is advertised elsewhere though) since people on here that know these cars will actually realise how special it actually is. :nice:

Cheers,
Grant

Apologies to everyone thats been emailing and PMing me about this, because it'll have seemed like I've vanished off the face of the planet?!

Its been super busy for me the past week or so, the recent flooding in Arbroath meant my gran had to be moved from her care home which took some doing... and with the crappy weather and dark nights, I've not been able to take further pictures of the car.

Going to try and get on top of things today/tomorrow, so please bear with me. :nice:

Cheers,
Grant

Right... been trying to email pictures and stuff to people, however, the email was just under 25MB and was getting pinged back.. so unfortunately for EK9.org, I'm going to throw up all the pictures that I have for the car on this thread!!

Sorry if some of them are repetitive but I'm just putting them up so people can see the car from nearly ever angle, which is important for potential buyers of the car who are hundreds of miles away.

Here we go......

Phew..... so, if you dont need a lie down after looking at all those pictures then I'll list some of the common questions that I've had from the people who have been in contact about potentially buying this car.

Is the bodywork dented, rusty or scratched anywhere?

No, the car is in brilliant condition as its only done around 4k miles since it came to the UK and I've known the car since its arrival in the UK. There is one single stonechip on the passenger front wing, which has been touched in... being a perfectionist, the only other thing which I was planning to do is get it booked into a local company to get the black paintwork detailed because of the very light swirl marks which are the big downside of a black car.

Is the interior clean?

Yes, the bolsters of the Recaros are still strong and have kept their shape.. again, being a bit of a clean freak when it comes to my cars, I was going to get the interior shampoo'd and cleaned when the car was in for the exterior detail work.

Does the car run well?

Yep the car runs very well. The only thing which I would say is that on initial first start up the car can take a couple of turns to fire into life, but I'm led to believe that this is due to the spec and nothing major to worry about.. once the car is warm, it will fire into life as soon as the key it turned. The car will burble along in traffic fine, the coilovers are adjustable, but I've never had to change them from the setting I bought them on. they are comfortable enough and help stand the car up when you're linking a few bends together at speed. If you do the daily commute in it then its up to yourself whether or not its suitable. Unfortunately for my commute its unsuitable as it does become a bit tiresome on the motorway for extended periods of time... however, you might disagree. :)

My mobile number is ********** , if you dont get an answer then please leave a voicemail with your name and number and I'll give you a buzz back when I get a chance... either that text me as it'll probably be easier for me to reply to them than find time for a phonecall.

Cheers,
Grant

Very, very nice mate. Wish i could afford the insurance on it lol.

In that video, is there a black mark over the K on the dials as it reads MH and there it looks like there is a bit of black tape or something over the K. Might give someone a wrong idea thinking its in MP/H :p
