Honda Civic 2002.
Silver
106,431 miles.

The car was purchased looking for a mechanically clean Civic Type-R with view to turn into a car to use at weekends & sporadically on the circuit. However, this car turned out to be too clean to use for this purpose so I thought to sell it on and look for an example a little 'rough around the edges' that would be better suited for what I wanted.

I bought the car completely unseen, whilst I was working away - beside a short test drive when I then saw the car it has remained in the garage since. Two previous owners have been local car enthusiasts and it appears to not to have wanted for anything during their ownership -

Interior - The car is very clean, with the distinctive seats with the Type-R logo that are very recognisible. Additionally a carbon-look film has been applied to some of the interior plastics, this does bring a slightly fresher look to the cabin without looking too 'max-power' of years past. Finally, the OEM steering wheel has been beefed up slightly & covered, exceptionally well, in a suede material - this adds a nice touch to your main interface into the car for your driving inputs.

Exterior - The car is straight and clean, no obvious evidence of any rust coming through on the usual honda locations. There is however a small scuff of sorts on the rear tailgate where the Type-R sticker/Emblem would have originally sat. If this would bother a future owner I could arrange for this panel to be re-painted, but it really wasnt of concern to me. Finally the headlights have slightly 'yellowed' over its lifetime - this could most likely be made significantly better with a light restoration attempt, but so far I havent had the time (again as mentioned earlier - I wasnt planning on using the car much). The Wheels on the car are Enkei's from a Mitsubishi model, which personally I really like & helps the car stand out from other Type-R cars.

Mechanically - The car drives well, the previous owner saw to recent brake caliper replacements for sticking issues and it dirves & runs very smoothly. 106k miles is very low for a honda engine, especially one maintained, so will have plenty of life to go from here on. The car has a couple of noteable modifications from standard trim externally - 1st, it has been lowered a few cm's. It looks about 3-4cms lower & to drive, does feel a little stiffer than oem. I was told they were on Eibach springs, over the original dampers.. but I havent confirmed. The exhaust fitted is a Powerflow unit, with a double tailpipe. It is a little loud & perhaps not to everyones taste - so if this is of concern I can source an oem unit to replace in a potential deal.

I have tried to be as honest as I can about the car. But please, any questions, drop me a line.

Car is available for viewing anytime. Test drives will only be offered on acceptable proof of insurance.
