to civic type R!!!!! hello, im new, i have just made the huge decision to part with my beloved skyline. Reason for doing so was the huge fuel bills and general running/modding costs as im getting a house:nice: so, as i didnt need the money from the sell, i took my skyline to a local importer and did a straight deal on a CTR, with 66k (km) on the clock, still driving the skyline at the mo until the civic is SVA'D , should pick her up in a week.....but i do have pics:) :) :)

My current skyline:( bye bye

forgot to add, she (the civic) is totallly mint condition, and standard apart from a rather tasty mugen twin loop exhaust system...its a 1998 with air con, i i was shocked at how well it went on the test drive:wow: , no more drifting for me:D :D :( :D

nice car mate! how many miles it has? congratulations, never driven a skyline but I'm glad you like the EK9 don't forget to add your car to the gallery / members galleries section!

cheers mate :)

its on 66,000 Km, whatever that is in miles, about 40k i think. if you ever get a chance to drive a skyline GTS-T(RWD) then do so, there great fun even standard but dangerous in the wet. though im sure the honda will out handle it anyday:D :nice:

Welcome!! :) You haven't said how you felt when you first drove the EK9 (compared to Skyline :wow: ) Do you feel more safe? Does it satisfy you in terms of performance? Also I would like to hear about your Mugen twin loop exhaust noise(music to me :))before and after vtec :D cuz I'm interested to buy one :nice:

I dont suppose thats the same type R that LifeStlye Vehicles were selling?
I nearly bought that ont but dint manage to shift my own car in time!

Korupt, was it a guy Joe that you were dealing with? lol small world!

yes danny, you are correct, Joe @ lifestyle vehicles...very small world:D

Manos EK9.....the ek feels much safer than the skyline, as for performance, it felt about the same as my skyline when its was bog standard, which is quick enuff, my skylines done 4.6 0-60 and a 13 quarter mile with a slipping clutch but as far as handling goes, the skylines on tein super streets but is still going to bit a totally different feel to the type R (FWD Vs RWD) so no more oversteer, LOL, i will go into more depth when i pick her up, but from the reviews and what a few of my honda buddys have said, i will be far from downgrading:) :nice: :nice:

haha yeah Joe was very helpful actualy i think hes gonna try and get me another one although its gonna be a 1999 so i reckon itll be a bit dearer, he says he might be able to give me a choice of coulours aswell, you got that for some price.

I dont think you can really complain about the performance with the EK9 R as i think of it this way its quicker than a Focus RS and just a second slower than a Audi RS4 420bhp, thats not bad going to be quite honest!!!!

yeh, the test drive was great, was very impressed, and she is in great condition....joe a good guy, and he owns lifestyle vehicl....and hes the same age as me LOL, lucky git, i wish i had my own business:D
