Just a quick question! I bought 5 stud hubs and brakes off an ek9 for my eg9 civic! I was given for the front (the hubs, wishbones, discs and callipers) and for the rear i was given the (hub, trailing arm, discs and callipers) Is this all the parts I need or will I need more parts to do the conversion? Do I use my standard eg9 trailing arm or do I use the ek9 one?

if ur driveshafts wont fit the front hubs ul have to get the ek9 driveshafts an drive cups....ul need some 5 stud wheels too...an id put in fresh pads if i was u as well other than that itll go in fairly handy

Somebody told me that my cv joints will fit the hubs so hopefully! Ive got a new set of 5 stud wheels and a full set of aem pads so there covered! I stripped the suspension tonight so its all going well so far!

I think you should use the ek9 trailing arm just in case, but I'm pretty sure the eg9 will fit :)

yup use as much of the ek9 stuff as u can it makes the process simpler that way

Fit an camberkit in front, because ek9 has other arms as an eg, trailingarms rear are 1 on 1 fittable of an ek9. Main brake booster and cilinder are needed too from a ek9 or '98 spec dc2, otherwise you dont have much more braking power then with the stock eg9 setup

I dont agree with needing the booster and cylinder it wont make much differrence! I fitted all the parts today and it all went together fine! Cheers for the help!

listen(read) what the guy says...he's right you do need the brake master cylinder and booster a long with the prov. valve. The part that actually distributes the brake force to the discs. You need a 1" booster/cylinder to actually stop like a EK9/DC2 R's. Other wise, yeah you'll stop but not like an EK9 or DC2 will.
I would use the EG LCA, lower control arm, the one that bolts from the bottom of the disc to the middle of the chasis (in the rear) i believe the EG/DC are smaller than the EK....
but you don't have to listen(read) to what i'm saying...
good luck!

I meant that it will work with the eg parts like the master cylinder etc... I didint mean i wasnt going to get these parts in the future! and if you must know the brakes are now in and the stopping power is amazing!

i'm sure they are but not fully capable of what they can do!

You dont get my point I know there is more performance to get out of these brakes but they will do like they are for now until i can afford the new cylinder etc... I spent over 6 grand this week getting the car on the road between insurance tax wheels and all the rest! So when I put in the ek9 cylinder I will tell you what the differrence is then!

ud get a second hand master cylinder from an ek9 for bout 70e or 80e....thats how much i paid for the one in my eg coupe....i did the same as u put the brakes in a used the eg cylinder brakes were very good but wen i put the type r one in it was exactly like my ek9 an i could really notice the dif in the two master cylinders.
