1998 CW Honda Civic EK9 TypeR
Hi all I'm new to the forum , been in great ownership with my 1998 CTR for just over 7 months now thought I'd sign up and share it with you all.

I've had a few Hondas over the past 3 years mainly the 5th gens, I was mid-build with My Turbo Captiva Blue EG3, some of you may know me as Js_Built on I.G . My heart wasn't in project anymore, it was getting on for 2 years with it being sat in the garage gathering dust so with that I sold up and was looking around for something a bit different. Rwd in particular until a good friend of mine had messaged me with a few cars they were bringing in from Japan, one of them was this gem of a Ek9 i now own!

Imported by kenny @ Mission Motorsport imports (Portsmouth U.K) in early June 2016. Coming through the auction the car was given a 4B rating with 0 rust and super straight bodywork. After we converted the clocks from KMH it worked out that had done 86k which wasn't bad at all for a 18 year old car! There were a few areas of the body that needed attention due to sun-damage, bonnet , roof , spoiler , mirrors and a rear quarter.

We could see from the auction photos that the interior needed a bit of cleaning up but that wasn't to be a tough job (we hoped) Original steering wheel was still on the car and wasn't replaced by some cheap rubbish. Exterior wise was pretty much standard all-Beit from a aftermarket Exhaust.

When the car eventually arrived in the U.K the car was thoroughly checked over for any rust , damage , faults etc, anything that needed replacing was replaced.

First thing first was to get the car up on the ramp to inspect the underside. It was super clean, even some of the bolts had the zinc plating visible , it also looked like someone had under sealed it at some point in its life and had a done a good job of it. Exhaust system looked like some sort of custom 2.5 cat back with a 3 inch tip (it's very loud) it wasn't what I would of chosen but it has grown on me since!

Time to address the body work!, it was tough trying to match the colour with the old original paint so we decided to paint the whole car. Many hard hours went in to getting it right and the guys certainly pulled it out the bag with this one.

Here are a few photos from the process
