Accident on bike - effect car no claims?

Hoping one of you guys might know the answer to this situation:

Recently had an accident on the motorbike, will this effect my no claims bonus on my car insurance? Do I need to inform my car insurance company about this accident?

I've got 6 years protected on the car so it's not the end of the world, but just wanted to know if I need to call and inform them?

I'm pretty sure the accident will apply to both policies

You will need to declare the bike accident to your car insurance company but it will not effect the NCB you hold on the car policy. Also, you do not need to let them know about the accident until you renew your policy.
