Accord Type-S - Info?

65l tank, 1.35 a litre. £90 to fill if empty,
Probably not empty.

So, say 60l used for 400miles. Makes it £80 to fill again.

Not exactly economical, but then it is a 2.4 petrol :)

That is not bad tbh. If one had to choose between a Type-S or Accord Type-R, which would you go for?

I want a proper VTEC blasting machine. I can't seem to find many clean ATR's though, some have done a lot of mileage.

£72 fills my tank ? Maybe £79 At the most with the light on I don't like to run too empty for fear of dragging dirt off the bottom of the tank .

Haha nice of you for the kind thought. I'll get to have a go, a friend's friend has one so will try arrange a day with him to have a look. I'm going to view 1 after christmas so hopefully I'll get a taste of what it's like.

A type s is a comfy, refined and somewhat sensible car.
A 'proper vtec blasting machine', in my eyes, is an ATR.

Both similar on fuel,
Insurance is probably high on accord type r.

I see. Another question with the K24a3 and k20a2, you said before I could swap the head over? Can I also swap the intake mani for the k20a2 ie; RRC/RBC manifolds? Or is that a no go area?

I had a type s tourer and never got more than about 32mpg mostly about 27, watch out for the VSA light on as common fault although more on the diesels and around £2k dealer fix or £700 refurb job. very nice car, comfy, fast enough, kitted out and surprisingly good handling for a big car. vtec subdued though good acceleration but nothing like the kick in the back from the civic vti I had before...
