after a bit courrier advice if possible

Hey all

Firstly be gentle this is first time ive ever had to use a courrier and so im a total noob.

Basically i have just purchased a jdm itr dc2 carbon bonnet, but need it collected and brought to me, im just very wary of it being damaged in transit etc.

I assume theres an additional charge for having it insured for damage etc.

Also what do i need dimensions and a rough weight?

Do i pay over the phone for the courrier service also?

yes, to get a qutoe for postage you need the address to be collected and delivered, postcode, weight and sizes of the parcel. try parcelforce.co.uk mate to give you a rough idea on the price, i use them all the time and have never had any bother with them, but price around as well to get the best quote
 
yes definately get insurance, my friend had 3 bonnets delivered before they arrived in 100% a1 condition
 
holy moley, dont fancy that like really eed piece of mind that its ogonna arrive as it was when sent.
 
sorry to put the willys up ya, thats not what i meant, my freind ordered a carbon bonnet with a window(to see the engine) from funky power and each time it turned up with marks, cracks etc etc

if you get it insured and it does get damaged in transit you can get your money back

its worth doing
 
will enquire mate, im sure any decent couriers company ukmail, tnt etc etc should offer insurance on fragile packages, ill be booking it in just before xmas.
 
I use interparcel.com all you do is give them the rough measurements and weight of the item, choose the collection and delivery postcode then they quote you.

Usually TNT next day is £9.99 from what i remember they are what i use for more expensive items as they are more careful.

Added insurance can be selected but i will cost you more obviously.
 
you could try paisleyfreight mate, im pretty sure they have a set price for car bonnets then it is always guaranteed one day delivery i.e pick up from seller tuesday be with you wednesday. they also offer insurance :nice:
