I have a set of 15" rpf1 replicas currently have rainsport tyres 195/50 r15 v (the sidewall is massive lol) and il be looking for a new set of rubber in a couple of months so looking for some advice. I prefer a low profile as it looks nicer and it feels better. The car will be used for my trip to work everyday which is only 2 miles and I will be doing a few track days also. So looking for a tyre that is good on the track and off the track. Also hard wearing would be a bonus. I don't mind spending money on good tyres (says the guy with rep alloys ) Any advice on tyre and tyre size would be perfect please :)
Thanks in advance :))

I personally wouldnt go any lower than 195/45/15 cos even thats small for track days i have rainsports in that fitment on 15" if you want to see em?

The profile looks alright to me. I'd stick with that size if I were you.

As for an all-round tyre, everyone I know rocks Toyo's haha.

Yeah, I went to your build thread to see for myself. Look absolutely fine to me.

I'm planning to use Yokohama AD08r's 195/50/15. A good all round rated tyre more than good enough for a bit of track use and not that expensive at (last time I looked £60-£65 each)
Any smaller profile will look to small. The standard ek9 size is 195 /55/15

I dont man i can get you one tmr if i remember its snowing now :nerv::run:

If it was me I'd go even bigger and wider, 205/50/15 is the best size imho. I hate how low profile tyres make the wheel arch look empty. If you want lower profile maybe get some 16'' wheels? Also, while the rainsports are a great tyre for everyday use I think the sidewall will be way too soft for track use. Get some 16'' wheels with rainsports and put some 195/50 (cheapest size) R888 or similar on your current rims, win win!

Not a bad idea man. Maybe have a look for a set of 16s or 17s with a low profile for road/show use and my 15s with a set of r888 for track.

I was gonna suggest 16" wheels, just like oifovo mentioned :) If its in the budget, go for it.

I got 16" Gram Lights, so I have low profile tyres, without having a huge arch gap.

eternal blue 2000's old EK is a good example.

What size of r888 would you recommend for 15" wheels
