Hi guys, came across these as i really should sort my suspension out, they will be going on a 97 civic hatch.
Anyone give me any info on these coilys or if i should keep away, any info on regassing or re oiling?

Honda civic Crx Diayama coilovers | eBay UK

Thanks in advance Mat

depends how much they go for at the end. i had this coilover on my ek4 for at least one year. never had any issue with them. but imo, they are a bit too stiff, even on the softest setting. stll too stiff, especially there are many speed bumps round my area. thats why i sold mine and bought lowering spring instead. but certainly it made the car handle so much better, even my mate who is not into car said my car handle noticably better with the coilover.

they are Taiwaness company btw

O right, i need better handling atm, so i was thinking these and tyres.....

Taiwaness are the colies that are being sold or do taiwaness make daiyama?

Any news on the re-gassing or oiling issue?

yeah, if they are cheap enough, i'd say go for it. no idea man, i just know daiyama is a taiwan based company, and popular enough in Hong Kong.

My mates had these on 2 of his cars n he can't fault them! As for re oiling wise ano a few companies in Glasgow that refurb coilovers for 30quid a corner should b somewhere down ur way that'l b able to do it

Just received this from the seller:
'i had these on my crx which had rear disc conversion if your rear bottom arms are eyelet bushes then they will fit with a little modification and the front ull need to use ur forks of ur car but these came of a crx 2nd gen with eyelet rear bottom bar.if u read my discription the shocks was fitted to my project car which never touched the road so meaning no mileage. i had the shocks set to 1cm clearance from the arches on the back and 1 morning after a year or so 1 of the back arch was lower so low it was sitting on the tyre so i guess its low on gas or oil.'

as far as i corncer, if the rear shocks is eyelet type, that u cant use it. unless u change the bottom bit of the shocks to match ur car.

right, i have misread sth, thought the coilover u r looking at got the eyelet rear shocks.

here is some answer.

i dunno what year is CRX 2nd gen, but if this coilover is for a CRX 89+, then they will fit ur EK with little mod

front wise, some people say the shock body is shorter on the CR, so u would have to use the CRX front folks, but the seller is going to include it. so shouldnt be a problem.

Rear one, u will need to put a few washers between the shocks folk and LCA bushes to fit. as the EG/CRX rear shock folk is wider than EKs.

but bare in mind, CRX is a lighter car than EK, the spring rate is not designed for it, i heard ppl say it could be quite bouncy with this combination.

O right, cheers for the info, if they go cheap i may get them, if not then i'll just wait to get the real deal lol

I drove a EG on these a couple of years back and the ride was great took the bumps well. However if there leaking after two years they cant be that good
