EK9 Racecar

Looking much better with those in! Gav to the rescue!

Keep forgetting to update my thread :nerv:
Got a trackday at Combe on Friday :D
Really looking forward to it and hoping for dry weather so I can try out my new mods.
So firstly I've had these ATR brakes on hold for a while now but I've got my arse in gear and refurbished them. New 300mm discs, got them through work cheap!
New seals in the caliper's, shot blasted and painted.

Front brake pads are on their way out, but should last another trackday.

Next update is wheels, fitting the ATR brakes means the standard ek9 wheels won't fit over the brakes.
I borrowed a pair of 15" team dynamics pro race 1.2's et30 8j off of @jesse888 to try out. They cleared perfectly! But being 8j they were rather wide so I decided to try a 225 50 profile tyre! All the grip lol.
I obviously had to move the rear of the wing out a bit by using some long m6 bolts and nuts.
I also rolled the arches a bit to give some more clearance.
The wheels fit in the arches nicely now.

I'm yet to sort something out for the front of the wheel, thinking maybe canards.
Looks beastly!

Also I got a pair of 7j pro race 1.2's off of @MadM1ke87 for the rears, going to try a 205/50 on the rear.

Might be a bit close on the rear arches, should be fine. I didn't roll the rear arches as I don't want too if I don't have too.
Will see how it goes at Combe.

Here she is all ready for another go!

Still haven't painted the green bumper lol

Looks great! Hope to hear how it performed on track soon.
Most impressive thing is you've successfully hosted your images. Do you mind me asking which site you used please?

Great trackday at Combe today, it was really wet in the morning, constant rain! After the lunch break the track dried out and was bone dry an hour later! So we had half the day wet and half the day dry! Car performed so well, the ATR brakes were a vast improvement, I can brake later with confidence and not lock up! The wider front tyres gave me so much grip! Had a great session chasing an e36 m3 racecar running on slick tyres! And a great battle with a Subaru racecar. Only problem I had all day was that I ran out of fuel! Will get some go pro footage up soon, but again I forgot to charge it, so only got a few videos!

I don't have any photos of me going round, they were mega expensive!

The 7j rear wheels had yellow paint in the team dynamics writing, I wasn't a fan!
So have the wheels a rub down with wet and dry and gave them a lick of black spray paint.

Drying...

Done!
Look like new lol.
Just need some centre caps.

A few months back I picked up 2 rolls of red automotive carpet almost identical in colour to the genuine carpet.

I'm carpeting the rear of the car and putting the rear plastics back in. Thinking maybe a rally net? What do you think?

Rally net would look cool!
The red carpet will help make it much nicer inside for sure!

Yeh man I want it to be a civilised track car lol
Thought a rally net would suit it
