What have you changed since the last tune?
I may be able to fire you over a quick tune that will atleast run the engine safely.

Aah you mean help me with the b18/16 swap right? Sorry I was confused. Erm well it's running a stock gsr map at the moment, haven't changed nothing and haven't had it mapped properly

Think we are getting wires crossed here.
So your on the stock map/ecu. You want to start the engine.
Have you changed
Injectors?
Fuel pressure reg?
Map sensor?

Yeah I'm deffo confused haha. I thought you were offering a hand on tuning after I turbo it. But at the moment its just a b18 with a b16 head. It's running fine maby abit lean.. I'm running a hondata s300 with a gsr map. I said about the startup as I don't know how to start it after the turbo setup is all fitted

Ah OK. I thought you had the entire setup on and ready to start but was worried about the injectors etc not matching the map on the ecu.
Assuming your on stock injectors, pressure reg and map sensor then it will start up fine. Even with the turbo on.

Well my car will be off the road end of this month to fit the turbo setup, when it's done I will be using 1000cc injectors, stock pressure regulator, 4bar map sensor. I will deffo contact you for advice when it's done.. Thanks

Going alright... I've done the rings and about 700 miles on the engine all seems perfect

Also hoping to have it off the road for a bit so bought this to cruise around in.

Very good man happy to hear that looks cool always liked black coupes

Well... Haven't done much to the car for ages.... It has been neglected and abused .. even did a rally track day which was excellent fun apart from the jump!

The track day ruined my front tyres so the cars looking rather sorry for itself on the stock vti wheels at the moment.

I've recently been re motivated with my turbo so ordered a lot more parts and have a lot of work to do!

The issue of the turbo hitting the radiator has nearly been solved, I found online a mk1 scirocco radiator kinda fits so decided to give it a go and ordered one, also got me a decent sized intercooler, I trial fitted them today and will be taking the rad into work tomorrow to have some welding done to make fitting a little easier. I've got an inline filler neck on the way but abit confused about where in the top hose it should go and if anyone is clued up please advise me.

Ek4 kinda on hold till next payday... So finally got started on my eg after nearly 2 years!
Picked up some BBS rx2.. nothing special but £50 from my mate can't complain, sprayed the centers but struggling with polishing the lips :angry2:




Also decided to spray the car as arches need doing anyway... Smoothed the bumper while i was at it, really pleased considering it's my first time spraying with a gun

Haven't been on this for a while.. need to fix the pics .
Anyway Since last time on here engine has come out..again.. re built properly-ish this time, 81.5mm re bore, Nippon racing turbo pistons, acl standard rod bearings, acl race mains, oem headgasket, head skim, supertech valve seals and every gasket replaced with new OEM parts.



Seems to be running fine anyway with 2.5k miles on it now.

I aslo had a welder in work build me up a log manifold for the turbo, i might of given him slightly off dimensions for placement of the turbo flange.. but it should be ok, looks like this so far



And i finally got over the clearance issue by fitting a radiator from a scirocco under the slam pannel

Also i got sick of the cande powerd headlights so fitted some h1 projectors and hids, only ebay hids for now, need proper ones without the chavvy blue!

Car is finally (nearly) done now, just waiting to get it mapped and doing bits to tidy it up. Ditched the log manifold and built a ram horn. Whilst waiting for mapping ive re built the front suspension, blasted and painted everything, polybushed, replaced the ball joints, track rod ends and bearings, and fitted some arp studs whilst i was at it.
