b18a1 with a b16a v-tech head..will it work

i am new the the honda scene, i recently bought a ek9 with a b16a swap.. my friend is tryn to sell me a b18a1 and says that i could use it with my v-tech head and make more power.. is this true if so how much more could i gane..thanks

as far as i know it is...2000 honda civic hatchback cx..its got jdm b16a

okay, what you have is an EJ with a b16 engine and you want to do an LS/vtec setup, and its VTEC, not VTECH!! Search ls vtec or look in the b20 vtec information sticky, its the same process.
