Rite iv a b18cr with ek9 pistons. block is complete and fully rebuilt.

Iv an SiR head that has been built to Type R standards intake and all Civic type R cams valves dual spring the works.

What do i need to bolt these two together?

B18 head studs? seen as the b18 block is longer ? Yes?

head gasket, Timin belt, Thats it really isnt it? Get a tensioner. My water pump and oil pump are new.

Thermostat is also new

Am i missing anythin or is there something that wont work here.

They're bolts not studs, unless you're gonna buy ARP studs, b18c bolts are what you want

Honda dealers unless someone on here has some you could buy, or ebay maybe

They aren't torque to yield (stretch bolts) so you don't have to get new ones

Ah brilliant thanks :) any idea wha there worth?

I'll have some but I doubt that I'll have all 10 of them tbh.
I can take a look for you when I come off holiday?

If you could man thatd be great il have a look around in meantime might price em from honda probably stupid money but il try em

Right.
I have 9 bolts. 1 of which I wouldn't reuse as I've used it for pulling a bearing out or something, the threads knackered on it.
Now I can't be certain if these are b18 or k20 bolts but I cam send them to you anyway if you want them. Or I can measure them if anyone knows the difference.

Are the B16a and B18c bolts definitely different? As I might have some B16 ones

The reason I ask is obviously the B18 block is taller but that shouldn't matter. The head is the same, so you'd expect the bolts to go into the block the same distance. The actual deck height shouldn't matter..?

Would the deck height not then create extra space between the threads in the block and the head?
Tbh I think they'll fit fine, are the b16a and b18c head bolts a different part number?

I don't think it's a good idea acutally, I'm forgetting that the head bolt threads in the block are some distance down the hole not at the block face. If they were at the face the difference in deck height wouldn't matter. Sounds like there's definitely a difference from a few threads I just read.

I might have a few bolts as well, I'll dig them up tomorrow and see if they are useable or not. Maybe between Jesse and myself we might get a set together lol

Ah lads that be sound of ye :) haha cos im really broke an my b16 bottom end went :( so i hvae to build this.

Il pay ye for em obviously but it would really help if ye had them :D

Turns out that in an exceedingly rare moment of being sensible I didn't chuck the head bolts into my bucket of ''assorted'' car nuts and bolts but actually kept them well oiled in a bag! So I have 10 good B16B bolts here, can post them tomorrow.

Yeah mine are dry and been in a box full of bolts. Best to use yours over mine tbh.
Plus I'm unsure if they are k20 ones lol

They will need a clean as the bag just sat in the garage for the past few years, but I was worried they'd be all rusty which they aren't. Jesse if you want to find out I can measure them for you (using calipers not a ruler as in the picture above lol)

My calipers won't go that big unfortunately.
