B18C6 swap into ek4?

Well, im just wondering.. can i run B18C6 from a integra type r with harness and ecu from ek4 B16A2?
 
Someone told me it was possible but it will only rev the same as b16 8200 instead of 9000

but hopefully somebody knows :)
 
You would want to use a P73 ecu, your b16a ecu wont give enough fuel that is needed for the longer stroke of the 1.8. ek4 loom can be used but you will have to extend a few wires i.e IAT sensor plug will need to reach sensor on intake manifold instead of at airbox air pipe to t.b like on your b16a. If you can get a ek9 loom then this is best option everything will be plug and play with that.

P73 ECU comes in what? No problem extend the wires.. i cannot get ek9 loom becouse there are no ek9 here :)

found it P73 : 96-00 OBD-2 Integra Type-R (JDM & USDM)

does b16a have OBD-2 also?

yes correct P73 is ITR ecu. Make sure to get a JDM one as UK and USDM have immobiliser.

Your EK4 is obd2. If your car is 96-98 model it should be obd2a and if 99 onwards it will be obd2b in which case you will need a conversion harness obd2b-obd2a to run the P73 ecu.
 
You shouldnt have to extend any wires mate

P73 is ITR ECU yes, they are all OBD2A, so if your car is OBD2B (99-00) you will need an OBD2B to OBD2A conversion harness.

I was basing it on the fact this is a primarily UK forum. I just seen the guys from Iceland though so fair play
 
b18c5 is the USDM typeR motor, slightly lower compression

b18c and b18c6 and the UK and JDM engines, internally exactly the same,with slight differences in the ECU and exhaust manifold.
