Received my oil catch can today and it's bigger than expected. i have two options, mount it at the front where the ac used to be or on the firewall where the battery goes. Mounting it on the firewall will look much cleaner. Are there any disadvantages of relocating the battery in the boot? Does it require alot of work? Worth the hassle?

my batterys in the boot mate i bought mine like that, i have a heavy duty cable goin froo my car neatly tucked away and its never gave me problems

Thanks for the links tama! So what exactly do I need? Just the extended power wire? So theres 3 wires that connect to the power wire all together is that correct? I'm planning to use my current battery tray but not sure how I would fit this in the boot. It would obviously need modifying but not sure if I should get it bolted in or weld it in? Sorry for all the questions guys this is a big job for someone like myself

Hi there
I am selling my complete relocation kit with sealed alloy box, fixing brackets, Odyssey battery and all cabling.
PM if you are interested, Dunx

Bump. Looking to do this in the next week or so. Do I need a battery box? Alot of people do this without using a battery box.
This is how I plan to do mine..

There are 3 wires that are connected to the positive feed on my battery. One from the fuse box, one for the abs and one from the altenator. From what i've seen people are feeding the altenator wire and fuse box wire into a distribution block, so what do I do with the abs one?

Cheers for the pic :nice: Any chance I can get pics of how its been wired up?

Lol there's no way you would be able to tell a 5kg bty has been moved on anything but a fully prepped rave car! What's the point??

The point is to make room for my oil catch can and for the bay to look cleaner.

Better weight distribution and more room under the hood.

I see your point. The TS has other targets for it: catchcan and looks.

Besides that, the mod on it's own won't do much. However, if you get a lighter header and a carbon hood with and a battery relocation then it will make a difference. All those mods on their own won't do much but together they make a difference.

...with almost any mod, in general, the above paragraph applies...:nice:...for weight it totally applies.

Weight is weight, take it off or take advantage by using it for balance. Track cars would notice it way more over a street car/user. No harm on either a track or street car, as long as you are venting battery fumes to the outside.

Any one using ODYSSEY PC680 ULTIMATE BATTERY
