Best clutch for b series

Don't oem clutches have the problem with the springs after a while? Known a few itr's and ek9's with this problem..

This has come up a HUGE amount of times

An oem integra clutch will be perfect, save your money so you can buy a nice forged chromoly light weight flywheel with it

And no a stage 1 exedy is not the same, the oem integra clutch is better

Plated and cintered clutches are a nuisance on the road, juddery and require heel toe and rev matching ALL the time, overkill for most applications (trust me, i have a mental ORC clutch fitted)

Couldn't of said it better!

I went for a 6 puck, stage 3 clutch and my god is it a tw#t for normal road use. It's either on or off, takes a fair few miles to get used to to be honest. BUT when you are going full throttle it really does make sense. Sublime to toe and heal with but if i could do it again i would go OEM. 3.4kg flywheel was a nice addition though.

I have a carbonetics clutch and i like it! its very stiff and some wouldnt like it but i got used to it and its great for taking abuse

I think Im going to do my clutch soon and Im going for a Competition stage 2 full face

Anyone changed the oem clutch line to something like HEL or alike? Worth doing?

try the exedy organic sports series with a light flywheel.
much better staying on vtec with slower gear changes. made in japan as well.
exedy makes honda oem clutches too.
steph.

If you are set on upgrading then have a look at AP racing, they do a nice clutch kit for the B-series

It's torque that kills clutches, not power!

Unless you are tracking the car alot or have a short gearset so will be changing gear all the time, don't bother upgrading

20bhp over standard will not kill an oem unit

Have a stage 2 competition clutch in my EG6 SIR and wouldn't recommend it for every day driving, can be very juddery when taking off if not enough revs, bites very easily so can be a little on and off and i find you have to toe and heal it all the time but on a plus the pedal does feel like oem stiffness :)

My brother-in-law has an AP Racing clutch in his EP3 and have to say its a really nice clutch to drive with and his is a daily driver with the occasional track use !

I have a Competition Clutch Ultralight flywheel on my B16a.
Wil i have any issues mating it to a OEM DC2 clutch kit?

im changing my clutch within this month also. its an EK9 and the mods arent too extreme skunk 2 inlet
js racing slug induction
manifold exhaust etc
hasnt been remapped.

will an oem integra clutch work or should go aftermarket???? sound!

I had Exedy stage 2 clutch and when he went off i had to change him with an ACT stage 1 very similar to OEM B16A2 clutch
