Ok yeah its a VTi not a 9 but i need help!

Right - I can get some Prelude or Honda legend Calipers that will allow 282mm discs. The discs would be mg zs discs as they are a perfect fit and are for a 4 lug 4x100.

What i'm asking is what else do i need to change? Diff brake lines? Anything else?

Barry

you dont have to change the master cylinder, depending on what size yours is, if its 13/16 and you got for the legend 2-piston caliper, then DEFINATELY change it! your going to need the t25 brackets from a ctr and you might have to grind about 1-2mm off of them.

i'll need to check what size!

I know someone who has got the prelude calipers he never had to change master cylinder or shave anything - sad thing is i've not seen him in ages to ask for his know how :(

Cheers guys - i'll keep yous updated

you dont need to change master cylinder, helps but not required, lines dont need changing either, you just need the calipers, caliper brackets from car that calipers come of, mg zs discs and itr/ek9 etc fitment pads

i have this upgrade, on my ek4 fitted perfect, no modding needed at all

just remember that lude are single pot and legend/nsx are twin pot although all work very well on ek4, legend calipers are heaviest though and slightly larger pistons than nsx though nsx caliper is lighter than legend caliper

nsx has fins on caliper which i assume is for better heat dispertion (spelling)

Wow what a help that post is iceman!! now to find all the things required!!!

Thanks alot!

my friend has just done the 282mm conversion on his civic coupe and the difference is unreal they are awesome now, they were only 240mm before lol :nerv:

frm which honda did the 282mm brakes come from? :thanks:

I think he has 282mm brakes from;ITR or prelude 2.2vti,CR-V,HRV... they all have the same size. differences are minimal.I ve got on mine ek4 front discs from uk mgzr (282x25) 4x100,and brake calipers from prelude...

I'm finding it hard to source calipers :(

brakesinternational sell fully reconditioned oem calipers, its not worth the hassle buying used calipers somtimes as cost more in long run as ive find out and ended buying calipers from brakes international who also part ex your old calipers
