Black RX project

Get that bumper on!!

yea, my brother has them on his ITR and he says they are very good. Be interesting to comare them to the Hankook RS2 and Federal RSR tires i've had in the past.

You won't regret it, totally transformed my nissan. Wish I had bought some for my old ek9.

will look into that, cheers.

fitted the jazz washer jets, 5 minute job and well worth it. not as tall as the oem ones and give a far better jet of water out.

Only took about 5 weeks for these to show up. A lot bulkier than I was expecting! Going to get the geo done this weekend hopefully.

Less than £300 brand new, painted and ready to fit.

New bumper order! £285 collected, being shipping from Germany i think! lol

comparing the cost of finding a second hand one that isn't damaged and then getting it resprayed i don't think the cost is too bad.

Coming along well mate, do you's plan to get down to Kirkistown again this year for a blast?

The hardrace camber arms are a good solid unit, I used them on my track car...and the ad08's will do a good job aswell :)

Hope to yes, was brilliant fun last year. Need to get my gearbox sorted first.

Good man it was a good days crack

Are you going to build the box yourself?

I have the tools there to do it. just unsure about when its all built up, knowing if it needs shims or the likes. As I dont plan on having it open it up ever again!

You only need shims If you are changing to a different diff

I have built a few of them now, built kippers and his dad's boxes for them.
If you need to know anything that I can help with give me a shout or if you want to drop the box to me I will build it for £80

cool, well on the plus side the car went straight through the mot with no issues. even collected a few lookers at the end of the test center! lol :)

Nice one, gotta love a fresh oem bumper with factory paint.

Definitely, i'd be in over £200 anyway for a second hand bumper and a respray. But at least this way ill know it will be good. Also its only going to take a few days to arrive. :D

Nice mate, just wish i had the space and time to get my S half as good as your EK :(
How you finding the tyres? apart from noisy ;)

cheers, my 9 isnt a touch to that caymen! its awesome!

As for the AD08's i really dont understand all the comments on here with people calling them bad in the wet, as far as i can gather from the driving i've done they are every bit as good as any other tire ive used. then again i though the RS2 hankooks were terrible in the rain and others may say different. I will say though the first 50 or so miles on the AD08's were sketchy until they bead in, was very greasy and unpredictable.

Got the geometry done this evening and it totally transforms the car imo. Having the toe and camber set makes such a difference, the car sits so much better on the road and gives a nice weight/feel to the steering. Plus after having all the suspension off my car made the alignement way out, i have several degrees of toe out at the front and the rears where both pointing off to the right! lol

new bumper got, happy and gutted at the same time. Paint is quality but there are two holes in the middle that i assume are for uk spec number plates... Means ill probably have to put a uk spec number plate on there or have two stupid holes either side of the jap spec plates.

^^^ thats a bummer.

I would just get flat grommets and spray them black to fit in those outer holes.

Cant go putting UK plates on the EK9 :nono:
