Anyone tried this?

For my accord I have mtec grooved discs on order, yellow stuff pads and ate superblue.
But I'm thinking of running some ducting to aid cooling.

Would I be wasting my time?

Anyone had any experience?

Thanks,
Jake

Probably a waste of time if it's just for the ring trip?

Are you actually having any issues with brake fade?

What Accord have you got? Same pads in the rear?

Its a good idea but you might find on the ring that your brakes cool down to much after long straights. have ducting on my S and even after a heavy braking session, a small amount of easy driving or motorway they are cold. Smaller tracks i would say its a good idea as it would improve pad life

Quite fun to fit though, makes it feel like a real race car!

Yes.
The brakes fade.
But currently it's only on oem pads and discs and probably very old fluid.

It's an accord CM2, 2.4 tourer.

And yes, true Jesse.
I wouldn't mind doing some days over here though and currently the brakes are the weakest link on the car.

I have an infrared temperature gun, so may try and make something up for one side and see if any temperature differences after a long run.

Was just a thought,
Bigger calipers and discs are out of the question really due to budget. :)

you should be fine with a better pad the yellowstuff's are not the best pad in the world but should still hold off fade better than oem's

Everybody moans about yellow stuff.
I quite like them.
I prefer them to ds2500 which are the alternatives.

Not a lot of people make anything much more focused for the accord estate fitment ;)

Stock brakes are shocking on these Accord, used a work one and cooked them on the way home.

Once you upgrade pads and fluid it will be much better.

They are terrible.

But what's the next step?

6th gen ATR calipers, do they really gain that much benefit?
