Mightycarmods style bambo cage?

Unfortunately a cage is one of those expensive parts isn't it.
Waiting and watching for a 2nd hand bolt in is probably your best option.

@Steve M has a dc2 cage fitted in his coupe don't think it was to drastic to sort

Yeah I've got a DC2 cage in my coupe. The coupe seems to be larger than a DC2 in every way, so once your sunroof is removed, there's a gap between the top of the cage and the roof of the car, approx 2 inches from what I can remember. The sort this I fabbed up a box section to raise the cage up so it's tight to the roof, I had to do the same onto the rear arch mounting points to get the cage sitting correctly. Isn't ideal really but it's done the job and will still be safe enough in an accident as the box sections I made are solid.
The other thing worth mentioning is that the cage will sit a little bit back from the dash too, makes it a bit tighter to get in and out the drivers seat, but means the glovebox is functional, which is a bonus if it's a daily!

Iv got a mate with a new dc2 cage was only test fitted in his teg then he sold the shell, it was the boy who bought the engine table of you he bought it brand new

Cheers guys!

Cheers man! I actually had a good look on your build thread and that's what made me consider a dc2 cage! :)

The one at unit 6 spares?? If so I'm hoping to pick it up on Wednesday if my wheels sell for the price I'm after :D

Yes its my mates cage he took his teg shell off him and is selling the cage for him

sweet! hopefuly get it bought this coming week

I think you'll find that making a DC2 cage fit EK is not worth the hassle, unless you can do all the fab work yourself. Just keep an eye out for a bolt in EK cage, they do pop up from time to time.
