Hi all,

Just after a bot of advice/opinions on the "best" cams for my friends build

Hes got a b18c with wiseco 81.5mm pistons, carrilo rods, ported and gasflowed head, skunk2 inlet manifold, rmf exhaust manifold, and few extras

He just wants other peoples views on what cam setup to use?

Obviously valve springs, retainers and guides will need changing also

Hes been looking at toda, skunk2 at the moment but not sure if they will be what he wants

Thanks in advance

Ben

Is the car his daily drive or track car? What compression ratio are the pistons used?

Pistons are 11.8 - 12.25:1 (wiseco states) it will be more of a weekend/track toy. Thanks

Go with a set of Skunk2 tuner 2 cams they will work well with that CR

use the same pistons in my build, with carrillo rods too (pro A's), head has some mild port work too

using endyn cams and making 243bhp (206 at the wheels), power band is basically linear and makes power right up to 9600rpm

Rich - the link takes me to his profile but cant see anything about custom cams

Vtec6000 - why do you think these will work well? Whats the difference between tuner and pro within the skunk2 cams?

Steven - hahaa crazy such a similar setup, i did a quick look into these and they seem pretty good, they arent too pricey either which he would be pleased about

Tama - sounds like a good build :)

I here alot of people talking about skunk2 pro3's and toda C's, are these good cams also orrr???

Thanks again guys

Because I have done a few b18's with the tuner 2's and just like how they drive etc and they still make around 15bhp more than a good b18c on stock cams and not to mention the midrange gains:nice:

If it's more for track then perhaps Pro1's might be a better choice just due to the added torque they give between 2-5k rpm

try ericks racing website - toda - crower cams ..
also Buddy Club Spec 5's ...

Rs250nut - hes not too fussed about the price as this reflects the quality

Vtec6000 - are these the only cams youve tuned or?

Stephank - i will take a look

Thanks
