going to pick a car up in belfast on sunday as its in northern ireland does this mean i can just insure it and drive it home and do i need to book the ferry in advance and does anyone know how much this is

I picked up a car from Belfast about 8 months ago . its pretty easy . just insure it normally , id book a ferry home as it may be busy due to being long weekend . It was about 150 quid for ferry there and bringing car back for me and a mate ..

Book it in advance mate you wouldn't want to get turned away. What are you coming over for?

Well done man. Was watching this on ebay & talking to the owner on the phone midweek, you've got yourself a very good example here by the sounds of things. Health to enjoy. P&o irish ferrys well get you sorted

Pretty straight forward aye but I'd book ferry just incase.
Good look with the new car :nice:

wont be picking this up for 2-3 weeks now just waiting on the guy taking his private plate off

You can have a say in the registration letters and number you get if you like. This car has never received a UK reg before so you could take a browse online and look at each area code in Northern Ireland and decide which one you like best.

I always wondered this, when a car in UK gets a private plate does it not have to be given a normal plate first?

Like this EK9 was it brought straight from south to north and just onto a private plate?

the reg plate does not bother me just going to keep it hassle free and easy as this is the first car i will be bringing over and its a good chance i will use this for track yous only:drive::win:
