CAT Comparison

engrish? the left one is a UKDM vti CAT the right is the JDM CTR CAT.

Question.... Does anyone know of the bolt pattern on the INLET flanges differ between to UK and JDM cats?

I.e. A JDM manifold will have the bolt hole wider apart.

The original pic but Elchunk looked as if this was the case.

Wouldn't this mean that even without the difference in length, a UK would not fit a JDM and vice versa???

I know this is old but I was wondering if the UKDM ITR/B18C6 was comparable to the JDM counter part just with a Longer Length?

Because I can see the VTi CAT that was used for Comparison has a Small Bolt Spread than the JDM ITR, so was wondering if the UKDM ITR Bolt Spread/Collector was the same size (2.5") as the JDM CAT.

Main reason I'm asking is I'm trying to build my own "OEM" Type-R Civic Coupe using ALL OEM parts. And a JDM CAT Doesn't reach the US B-Pipe. So I figure next best thing would be a UKDM Type-R CAT to join a ITR Header to a US Exhaust WITOUT having to cut/weld/modify OEM parts.

hi guys . i just want to confirm something . is a jdm dc2 cat the exact same as an ek9 cat then . im looking to replace the cat on my ek9 and wondering can i buy a jdm dc2 one to replace it . thanks shuthanbala1 for telling me it is but i just want to make sure :)

the jdm ITR does use a 12" (305mm) length CAT the same as the ek9.

thanks elchunk:) . just wanted to make sure all the bolts lined up :)

So. If I was to buy a UK exhaust system, I'd have to buy an adjustable de-cat pipe?

So will a 98 spec mani with 2.5 adjustable decat line up with my ukdm dc2 exhaust fine?:)
Yes!

The adjustable decat length will stretch to reach

Might have minor issues with bolt holes needing elongating @ B-pipe end

Mega revival!! That question was asked over 5 years ago
