Hi guys!

I have to choose between the coilovers from the title. I do not track my car, but also I have one more car, so I don't mind if the the setup is a little bit stiff. The specs for them:

TEIN:

*SPRING RATE: 6 front, 3 rear (linear)
• Steel Construction
• Twin Tube internal construction
• Larger piston diameter for strut type front and rear (22mm)
• 16-way Damping adjustment with over 200% increase in damping force change.*
• Ride Height adjustable via spring seat
• Powder coated damper body
• Non-welded ZT coated Adjustment Tube
• Full-Length Dust Boots
• 1-piece Aluminum Spring Seat with Delrin Thrust Washer
• Available for Overhaul
• 1-year Manufacturers Defect Warranty
*over comparable Super Street damper, based on damping dyno graph data. Increase in damping force over comparable Super Street damper may vary for specific vehicle applications.

PROGRESS:

SPRING RATE: 350/350 (progressive)
These new systems have been redesigned with improved shock dampening rates, modern foam-type bump stops, and less part content for a simple and durable sport suspension system. This is a perfect system for street performance, new track day and autocross enthusiasts, as well as project cars with engine swaps.
D-SERIES/Single cam applications

I'm afraid that the Teins are a little bit too soft, but the damper adjustment can help me to fix that.. Can you help me to make a choice?

Hey Neighbor!

Those Tein rates look quite "understeery" to say the least.

I doubt that you'd find the 350/350 Progress rates uncomfortable though. I've read many praising reviews. :nice:

Are you dead-set on the above two options?

How about a shock + spring combo?

What's your budget?

Thanks for your answer!
My budget is somewhere about 800 euros (including the shipping to Romania). I was also thinking of Koni Sport (yellow) + GroundControl adjustable springs, but I dont know what spring rates I should choose. Now, I also consider Meisterr zeta S coilovers with 8kg front and 6kg rear. They have good reviews but I am afraid that they will be too stiff for daily driving.

The Zeta-S 8/6 won't be too stiff for daily driving.
Spring rate does play a role, but it is mostly damper valving that makes the difference.

The best way to say is many of the DC2 Type-R members say the Zeta-S is as comfortable if not more comfortable then OEM, while providing better roll resistance.
That is on the same springs 8/6 springs rate.

Thanks for your answer. I really take into account this option. Can you tell me if the 10% discount + free shipping for forum members is still available? If so, the free shipping offer is available only for UK or it includes other EU countries? I raised this question on another thread but you haven't probably seen it.

Free shipping for UK only, shipping to Romania is £50.
But we can give the 10% discount to you as forum members.
