Civic Jordan #228 (B18C track build)


Cars mega Logan. Making me want a civic so much again.
 
I was always curious:

Do the Civic Jordans only come in Yellow and what makes them so special?
I have only seen yellow ones around the forums.

Only come in yellow. At one point there was 500, probably 300 or less remain. They were built to commemorate the Honda Jordan F1 team of the time. Came with badass yellow and black leather seats.

Super cool vehicles IMO. One of the first 'fast' cars I ever went out in when I was 17 was Edd Wan's off heres Jordan. So good- so good I obviously had to buy one a year later after I saved up enough haha.

Few little updates :p

Got a Genuine Gen 2 Spoon Sports wheel, freshened it up with new bolts also :)




I then decided I needed a new sunstrip as the one I had was not big enough to keep the sun out my eyes... This should do the trick :lol:

Already got a new clutch and lightened flywheel sitting for it. Pick up my LSD gearbox this weekend :nice:

Also got my ecu harness tonight off 689r

Only thing to do is order all my fluids, oil and filters. Then it is ready to go in, can't wait to be honest! Hope this B18C talk is all it's made up to be :p

Will make sure to take lots of pics of the engine swap :nice:
 
Defo my favourite jordan and getting better all the time! I need to pull the finger out and get stuff done
 
So picked up my gearbox



Took it apart to see what final drive was in the box as it had no sticker on it. Turns out it is a 4.4fd S80 but also found this when we opened the box



Not good :( so got a new LSD just an Oem one for now.



New gearbox seals getting ordered this week, box built back up and painted.

Degreased the engine then cleans with G101 to get any contaminants off it before paint.



Then started the paint with proper engine paint.




Went for all black to be different. Rocker cover is in getting refurbished just now in Oem wrinkle black.

About to order all my fluids tonight and then just a waiting game until next weekend to get it fitted :nice:
 
cant wait for b18 power, hopefully wont be to long behind you if i figure out what i want to do logan

Big update :) the engine is in!!!!

Last pictures of my B16A2




All my fluids, gearbox seals, ecu, harness and rocker cover.





So we started with the gearbox, strip it down, check it all, fit new LSD and seals all good as new :nice:




Then it was engine out time :D




While it was out I had a few spots of rust I sanded back and painted to freshen it up a tad.



Lightened Flywheel and clutch I bought fitted :)



Old engine (red rocker cover) and new B18C



Nearly there!



And finally the finished look!



Went quite well the swap only a few hicups but nothing major. Just need to get myself a new power steering belt ASAP and possibly a thermostat as I think this one is a bit sticky (sometimes the temp gauge goes down).

Car is totally different now. So much quicker. LSD improves the grip so much.

Very happy just now and don't plan on doing much for a while. Just tidy a few bits up, enjoy the car and possibly get a close ratio gearset at somepoint. Major thanks to @RyanSi who done 99% of the swap!

Anyway sorry for babbling on folks :nice:

Will keep you all updated if there is anything new happening.
