Creak Noise when driving off

I've had this problem for about 2 weeks now!

When I start the car from cold and driving off in 1/2nd gear, the car makes like a creaking noise.

Soon as I stop the car (press the clutch in) the noise goes away.

After about 20 seconds, once I've changed up gears the noise goes away and doesn't come back, while driving, even if I stop and use 1st gear again.

Only happens during cold start up.

ANybody else experience the same problems or know a cure for this creaking noise?

Thanks

Could be the lsd spining or your clutch idle bearing

sounds like the release bearing on the clutch. just hope it aint eating into the diaphram sprin.

what gear box oil do you use ?

Haven't changed the gearbox oil (was imported back in Nov 07) will get that changed.

I've read about the release bearing too. I'm going to take it to a garage to get it checked out.

Does this sound like a gearbox or clutch problem?

Should I be worried if its eating into the diaphragm spring? Going to check this out asap today!

Im a little worried now!

UPDATE!

The noise is definatly coming from the rear of the car! Not the front!

Spoke to the garage and said, it might be the rear pads/rotors, since I got them recently replaced!

OR

Would the rear bushes make such noises? I had these replaced in December! Surely they can't be worn already?

If you also hear the noise when you drive on a nice flat road, it's not the bushes. (and since they are new, it's definately not the bushes:D)

Probably your brake pads. If they were recently replaced, the mecanic probably didn't apply some grease on the back of the pads, and on the support where the pads slide into.

Rear suspension arm bushes would still be my bet.

Once replaced, it may still creak for the 1st few miles until the bushes have settled.

You don't have to grease pads anymore.

haven't had to grease them for many years now.

You don't HAVE to, that's right. The car won't brake better with or without it.

But if they squeek, be damn right that if you grease em, it's gone. Done it a dozen times, always worked.
