After owning and modifying my EK9 for a while now i thought i'd start blog so people can see whats going on (plus if i dont do it now i never will-the pics are building up!!)

this will be breef to get me started but you'll get the idea then the updates will be more detailed as they happen!

bought the car like this off a member (ek9cub) earlier in the year

from here i just enjoyed the comfort and the fact i had a normal car, and coming from a 106 rallye with itbs and a rollcage it was a joy to drive a comfy car!!

then the modifying bug came :)

sarted off by removing my air con that didnt work, making a cold air feed and removing the resonator box in the wheel arch

where did i go from here??
i got bored of the white on white look the wheels gave the car so when some 98 spec teg rims came up at a bargain price i bought them repainted them black and got some fresh toyo t1-r's on them

while this was going on i got my private plate assigned to the car and bought some seat covers in black

then i fancied a change with my rocker cover so i spent some time removing paint, painting swearing and came out with this :nice:

and thats where i stand with the car at the moment...well actually thats a lie :secret:

i was on the hunt for more power and after help from the forum and many different threads wihich brought up stroking the b16b engine.

thought about it for a while bought some parts and then after speaking to will (aka ek9turbo) i started to think about what i wanted from the car and started looking at my options.

in the end it came down to last weekend when i went and picked up b18c6 engine and box equipped with a skunk2 cam gears, stage 2 cams, retainers and springs, spoon high comp headgasket & hondata equipped p28 ecu :drive:

heres a sneak preview

Really nice ek9 there buddy.

Loving the look of the teg wheels :)

cheers lads!

its getting there, like i say waiting on a flywheel and need an ecu converter harness but ill sort that soon enough

Very nice mate! wheels look exact same as mine, respect!! :) good luck with the engine conversion! :)

looked far nicer IMO on the OEM white wheels, looks a real clean one lad, health to enjoy:)

Not a huge fan of the black rims myself but apart from that it looks great. Love both the rocker covers!

UPDATE-

as some of you may be aware i was on with a b18c-r conversion and..................its done :)

took the car off the road last weekend and started cracking on

got my flwheel on the new engine and torqued up, shortly followed by the s80 lsd box

once the new engine was built up i started taking the car apart

bit of time passed and out it popped, while the b16b was out i gave the bay a little tidy and clean

then with the help of a friend and the father the new engine was in and i was building it back up

all was put back together, car put back on its wheels, fluids topped up, plugged in the ecu and it lived!!!! below is how the bay looks now

after a couple days of driving it all i can say is wow!!! its amazing!!

torque and power in comparison to the b16b is just crazy

Nice bit of work. very nice looking bay:nice: Is that a custom intake pipe?

nice...wheels look well...iv actually neveer seen one with window rollers

Liking the Black Teg wheels mate ;)

Are they 15"'s or 16"s, can't really tell in the picture...

Nice tuning mate! I wish I could see some more detailed customising tuning here in Japan. Everyone seems to follow a formula of some sort. By the way, I am interested in C Pillar wrap around bar you have. I have never seen anything like that. Where did you get this?

kaks-the wheels are 16's, bit decieving as there black

britishracer- im not sure on the b-c bar as it came with the car when i bought it, there is a reciept somewhere for it, sure it came from holland and cost alot

cheers for the comments lads
