Dark Amethyst Pearl

hi guys im new to this just purchased a 1997 ek4 last week & discovered the colour is dark amethyst pearl, i saw somewhere online this was quite a rare colour? just wondering if this is true or a load of s**t lol, are there many of them out there??
 
I thought dark amethyst pearl was only on the 1.4 but could be mistaken. It is rare as they it was on 1.4 that had manual windows and no sunroof. If you want me to check your paint code PM me your reg and I can have a look as I work for Honda
 
I had one too, it's more common on the JDM SiR models, not all that common in the UK.
 
I had a vti ek4 in that colour... could be the same car.. post some pics :)
 
really hmm maybe lol theres a thread in members ride section titled "my 97 ek4" with pics mate, it came from aberdeen i think? has only ever had 3 owners too which i thought was quite low
 
One of the best factory colours - must of been available for pre-face lift only then?
 
yeah its looking like it mate, not seen many in that colour on here so far, Any idea how many came out the factory in that colour? i tried researching it but no joy .

Just checked mate.. no its not the same car.. no offence mate, but mine was in much better condition.. ill dig out some pics of it. cool as **** colour though :D
 
cool mate cheers, no offence taken haha i bought it knowing it needed a bit of work ive always fancied a wee project to be honest & this is it, ive got a friend who owns a bodyshop so shouldnt be a big problem:D

I saw your post and just wanted to show you my EK4, it has been converted to the LHD in order to be driven here, but still in the factory color. The most recent one it's the one with white wheels.

well i had a look mate, i certainly do like it !! looks brilliant there with the white wheels cant wait till mine looks as clean as some of these ones on here :)

yeah when i went to have a look at the car i thought it was blue, until i did a bit of research and checked the paint code, lovely colour up close!
