davis94's Lightning Silver EJ9 Build

Class, car looks spot on! Seats came up real well indeed, Amazing what some TLC can do to some red recaros eh?

I reckon you should get a proper import sized plate and stick it on to the bumper, That UK plate there will not be helping airflow to the radiator either.

Yes Kris i knew the numberplate position would be debated lol i didnt wanna stick it on bumper as it hasnt been on since bumper was painted and smoothed lol , thinking about it going back on the visor but then the police will be at me , i might get a bolts bolts kit soon unsure so far , i know it isnt doing the rad any favours tbh fair point , it will be sorted asap ! after tyres and brakes , yeah the recaros where a good shout thanks again bud that woolite is the job and smells class !

OVERDUE UPDATE

So its been a while since i updated here , basically car went to storage at end of November to avoid the salty roads here in Northern Ireland , since then i have just been gathering funds for improvements this year i am collecting the car from dry storage in the next 3 weeks where it will be going to get the Map fixed on the p28 as its horribly out fueling wise , then i am collecting the rest of my 282 set up this week including calipers , carriers , Master Cylinder and servo from a 98 spec Dc2 , fitting with the braided lines i bought ages ago and then with whatever cash i have left over new rubber for the rays along with the front end tidied up and a new front lip so that is the plans for the next month it should be present in portstewart on easter sunday so that is the aim so far cant wait to get out for some VTEC action again , keep watching for updates

So its been a while since i updated here , basically car went to storage at end of November to avoid the salty roads here in Northern Ireland , since then i have just been gathering funds for improvements. it will be going to get either a P30 Eg6 Ecu or the current Map fixed on the p28 as its horribly out fueling wise , then i am collecting the rest of my 282 set up this week including calipers , carriers , Master Cylinder and servo from a 98 spec Dc2 , fitting with the braided lines i bought ages ago , also purchased 4x Pirelli P7's and have been the best all rounder for the price that ihave bought to date great in the wet and the dry and havent noticed them burning up as badly as the infamous T1R's did for me so if i get at least 4 months out of them that will be an improvement !

So on Saturday i got all this fitted and serviced
  • HAMP shortie filter
  • Castrol Oil 10w40 change
  • New Sump Plug and leak sorted
  • NGK iridum plugs
  • Fuel Filter
  • Ek9 Master cylinder and DC2 serv0
  • HEL braided front Lines
  • Refurbished and rebuilt 282 calipers fitted
  • MTEC Dimpled and grooved discs fitted
  • Mintex brake pads
  • New brake fluid
  • New genuine retaining screws and fixings all included

Following this will be getting checked for MOT due in May but the fueling / ECU issue will be sorted as i doubt it will meet emissions as it stands , also i am starting to wonder if my PCV valve ever fixed my problem , and now thinking of installing a catch can they seem to do a great job for the money

Have recently started a new job and have a new daily which has delayed work once again to the civic but i am building up money again , need to save for insurance as i now have to mirror my NCB from my main policy to get insurance on the civic , should be done easy enough , just a real hassle atm , £500 for a second policy is very dear in my eyes , updates will come soon enough

Car passed MOT through Mid June with no problems , new brakes where fantastic , just need to get the civic serviced again and on the road and tidied up
