Has anyone tried a dc2 airbox on their ek9? Im tempted to test it out along with a spoon drop in filter...

i was thinking about this myself. i dont think it fits perfectly but is meant to work very well. there is a thead up on this somewhere on the site . you will have to install brackets and i think i heard something about instaling a sensor too??? not too sure about that tho

I think this mod will not help you a lot, I prefer to get a ITR throttle body instead, as I had in my car, and you will see the benefits instantly :) :woot:

A 98 spec ITR throttle body? What benifits did you notice? I still think the dc2 airbox with a cold air feed and spoon drop in filter would be a good mod, as Spoon use it on one of their ek9 demo cars. I think its the 220whp one. It must be better than the ek9 airbox.

the car your talking about is the b18c spoon ek9

Ya but its around €700 for it! I know you'd get one a bit cheaper alright. But would you actually see the gains!

Ya of course it would. But I was just saying that the mugen airbox was expensive. A dc2 airbox, spoon drop in and a cold air feed would only be about €200.

Well I got a dc2 airbox for €40 in perfect condtion:D Going to get a spoon drop in filter and billion cold air feed for it. And see how it goes! Anyone know where I would pick up a dc2 spoon drop in filter at a good price?

no harm to try it seeing as you got it so cheap lad
let me know how you get on,although i cant see it making any difference tbh
