Dc2 rear seats into an ek/ej (non ek9)

I tried taking the cover off the seat backs of jdm dc2 seats to recover my civic seats but the little plastic surround around the pull pin to fold the seat down wont come off. I don't want to pull it too hard.

How did the people who recovered their seats get around this?

^ Well loaf, hi yopu need to screw out the pull tab and then prise the surrounding piece off with a screwdriver from underneath.Worked grand for me when i did it last year.

Hi outta intrest, what kinda material is it? VTi prefacelift by any chance?

Cheers man...:nice:

Thanks for the DIY bro! Really helpfull for the ek9 conversion

quality job! if only i have the hands lol, need my backs done to match the front

would the ek9 rear seats fit straight in to a ej9 without a gap ? or would it have the same problem ? :)

Great write up, helped me so much. This was very time consuming and my fingers were killing after.

I've got help from a friend installing rearseats DC2 into my Civic EK3.

It's JDM rearseats into EDM - wich many people says on internet
that it absolutely doesn't work. But with some modifying things it
fitted in the end. So what i'm want to say: Nothing is impossible!

I have a little gap on the sides but that doesn't matter to me = )
But I am very very satisfied with the modding of back.

Here's the result:
