Drill a hole in my bumper?

This thread makes me laugh! Was an idea and I have my reason why it's valid.

Thanks for the input people.

Actually I have a front bumper with a feed drilled in (not my idea, previous owner)..I personally hate it but we could swap bumpers! ;) lol

why not fit one of these carbon ducts.

Where did you get that from???

that looks well smart :) as said ian i looked into this when doing my b18 on my ek9 and after quite a bit of research the gains were not enough to justify cutting a hole in my bumper. if you really want to to do it i would try and find an alternative to cutting a hole in the bumper like the car above

It wasn't so much looking to gain it was my thoughts of getting access to more cold air as in my bumper may be restricting the filter from doing it. Simples. The theory behind it is to do with all the ram air systems on motorbikes.

And the hole saw will probably be coming out anyway to allow more airflow into the rad and remove the parachute effect from the rear bumper.

I cut mine back in the day haha, i personally liked the look of it. Each to their own. Mine was a direct Pipe from the front up to the DC2 enclosed box so the air being sucked in was only the air coming from out side as it was all enclosed, sucked your hand in lol.. I dont see how you can better that as direct air from the outside..

That was my set up, if its a filter located in the bumper space i wouldnt cut a hole as that wont make a difference.
