Hey guys
Just had 35mm front and rear springs fitted to the ek9, the front dropped so the arch sits on the tyre but the back looks like it hardly moved still have a gap of about 20mm, the car looks pretty stupid a giant White wedge :/ could this be a problem down to fitting or just generally where it should sit? The springs are pro-kit eibach but ek4 vti lad at the garage said they would fit and that compression rates would be fine, please help don't want the ek to look silly :(

Are you sure they are genuine Eibach's and that they havent been cut.

Where they braand new?

Pics?? would be handy to compare.

Post the part numbers stamped on the springs from the front and rear.

Here is my brand new Eibach lowering springs (E4020-140) on EK4 we installed it yesterday:

I think it is a very good lowring springs.:nice:

I just fitted this kit to my car and it's also got a face down arse up stance. I don't like it!

Did you swith the front and rear springs? The shortest ones are usually for the rear. Make sure you fit them correct. I once made the same mistake with my Spax springs with the same result. Front in the ground and back high

What your saying makes sense but they are definitely the right way around, I checked the part numbers before fitting and also the fronts are noticeable stiffer than the rears.

i have the same problem on the koni springs and Eibach pro kit E4020-140(((((
the rear side is very high(((

These are the part numbers for my spring kit. I'm wondering if they aren't a matching set or if I have actually fitted them wrong way around. I checked online which were the fronts and rears but who's to say the guy on a forum I read it off is right. The front is rubbing the arch liners and the rear are higher than standard. Something is not right.

the same problem on Eibach springs, but the Koni sport springs have that problem to!!!

This is how my car sits. It can't be right can it? I've just taken the suspension apart again and put the springs side by side. I definitely have the correct springs on the front. (thicker coils, longer length, stiffer to push down and the part number matches with what I read on another forum)

Is KBA90439 the wrong kit for an EK9?

bit of an old thread but i thought id get my picture in aswell if anyone else has the same issue with the face down ass up

eibach pro springs 35mm, longer springs on the front

anyone recently fitted this kit? as i dont really want my car sitting like that but want it all round the same height

I usually see/hear complaints of the exact opposite happening with the Eibach Pro-Kit springs.
The "usual" complaint is that the front sits higher than the rear!

TEIN springs seem to give the most balanced / even look that I know of. Besides coilovers.

Have a search on Google Images!

All eibachs I've seen (including my own) the front sits lower than the rear.

I have the same "issue" if you would call it that, looks a tad odd with a big gap between arch and wheel at the back but gives it a nice look I'd say

To avoid all that headaches I ordered some ground control with custom rates for my del sol, I'll be able to lower or raise it to fit perfect without rubbing, I don't understand why people keep complain about lowering springs when if you see the specs of them no one have a correct value of how much it'll drop, I never like the fact that when you go to order some springs they give you a margin for how much it'll lower and not a correct number, make me think if they didn't test their springs or if they test why so much of a difference???? If they are concerning the use of stock shocks and also shorter ones maybe they should advert the lowering value separately....... Well just my taught but the adjustability and the option to choose your own Spring rate it's more than enough to justify the more expensive ground control springs....
