helo.. i'm new here.. just wanna ask were can i buy the original left hand conversion kits for ek9.. like dashboard assy, orig LHD X-member, LHD rack and pinion, LHD wiper assy, and all openers and switches for left side.. i'm from the phil but i'll be going back to texas for work.. thnx in advance..

ek9 never came in LHD, your going to have to get parts from a lhd 96-00 civic chasis, like the usdm hatchback, just make sure to get the dash parts from the proper year or your ac/heater might not work... the difference is 96-98 or 99-00 is usa...

Anybody know wat the different of Crossmember, steering rack, upper lower arms, anti roll bar brake pump servo, and fuel pump between EJ6 and EK9? Cos i wanted to buy a EK9 halfcut for my EJ6, but the halfcut is without this parts.. Only include
1. B16B complete engine with distributor
2. B16B complete intake system
3. B16B extractor
4. B16B gearbox with helical LSD & 4.4FD
5. B16B clutch and flywheel
6. B16B gear linkage (short shifter)
7. B16B aluminium radiator
8. B16B aircon condenser and compressor
9. B16B engine wiring and ECU

i just remembered that EK9 also has a Chromoly shift linkage (changerod) other EK use steel. added this info to "other" section

Suspension:

-22mm rear ek9 sway bar, to use this you need ek9 rear lower control arms or any aftermarket units with holes for the endlinks, also keep in mind when using such a large diameter bar on a NON-type R you MUST use a sub frame reinforcement brace such as the COMPTECH, ASR, or BEAKS kit. without this kit the bar will tear out of the subframe as teh factory ek9 has a reinforced subframe the factory ej6/ek4 etc... does NOT.

Would it be ok to use a ek9 antiroll bar on my ek4 sir, It should line up and fit.. as there is one on it and the ek9 one would just be thicker??

I recommend you to start a new thread in the General Chat forum, keep in mind that importing a EK9 to USA is possible, but its expensive and you have a BIG chance that you're not going to be able to register it. :nono:

your vin number will tell you which ek or ej you have. You can start anywhere, just don't start at more than one place at a time, for example this is what i did:

-first i did suspension and brakes, i did not mod anything else till i was finished with that.
-next i did the exterior, full ek9 conversion and i did no mod anything else till the exterior was complete
-after that i did the interior
-and finally i did the engine

you don't have to go in that order, but its best to pic one aspect, focus on that and move on only once finished. It's much more satisfying and you get to really enjoy the car every step of the way :nice:

thanks so much blinkx9900,it does make perfect sense to me.the hard part is,i think west coast canada is in some sort of scarcity for JDM CTRs sources or i might be not looking in the right places.would you know any place here where to source for my project?because importing half cuts from importers have been becoming really expensive (more than reasonable at least for my part) due to scarcity.

long live the EKs!

thanks so much!:nice:
