EJ6 & EK4 to EK9 CTR Conversion Guide / Thread


what up ? i have a Question: so my car used to be an auto its a 97 ex and i am swapping the b16b into it and i have no clue what pins are not used any more its a stick so if any help please get at me
 
i need some info!!!!!!!! i have a 1996 honda civic ex, it was a auto trans but now has a b16b and of course its stick i have the ecu (pcm pct) but i dont have a clue what wires i need and do not need ca anyone can help?
 
Ek9 has the dark rear glass on the trunk and on the sides :) These are not avaiable on the ek4 and ek3
 
question to everyone: if my car has no PS and ill be doing a b16b swap, will a PS conversion be included as well?

is it plausible for a PS conversion?

The seller should tell you if the ps system will be included, if yes, you shouldn't have any problem installing it :)
 
hi fellow hondaddicts!

i was thinking of getting CTR side panels for front and rears, i know that they are black, and i have an ej6 meaning i have light gray interiors, i would like my interiors to match.

so i was wondering if there are any hatchbacks out there that has power windows with a gray side panel?

i also know that ek4 has black interiors.

i was thinking if i can get a power window/gray side panel, ill just "convert" the cloth to red CTR material so that i can get the power window, CTR look, and all gray matched interior.

i am not 100& sure with what i know, so please advice.thanks

im planning to have a 5 lug conversion, at the same time buying some lowering springs/full coilover kits. which springs/kits should i buy then? DC5s or EJ6s?

hope to hear your thoughts on this one.

ej6, dc5 uses completely different suspension.
 
What size of engine is in a ej6 and any idea on insurance group?

I dont know if this been posted up yet but the door lock and door cups are different from the US/CANADA civic's the japanese door locks have a solid red mark when u unlock and lock the door and u can just force the us/canda door cups on the japanese locks you really have to get the plastics. I noticed when my car came off the container my passenger door was pretty bad so i used the US doors and thats when i notice the difference

Depending where are you located.

In the USA you can get a B18C for around 4000$ + shipping + labor.

I assume you might spend like about 6000$ :p
 
YOO wats good guys?? Ive a question about the climate control!!!! I have a 97 civic ex (USA) and I will like to change the climate control to the ek9 !!!! Do I have to get the ek9 internal dash center??? what about the dashboard harness do I need the jdm or I can use the 99-00 (USA) dashboard harness??? What else i need>? PLEASE HELP

Are you trying to go from a 96-98 style to a 99-00 style climate control? FYI if thats what you intend to do i have seen it done but it is VERY intensive and requires the heater core be changed!

Dashboard harness = gauge cluster?

yes, you can use the same.

And as blinx9900 said, you need a lot of parts from the 99-00 to make the swap!
