Just won this item on ebay (pic 1) and (pic 2) is a picture taken from honda-tech. Just wondering if that price is somewhat true ($499)? Cant be surely? If it is i won one hell of a bargain!

To be honest I have no idea what type of strut this is as it’s not an ek9 one (I mean oem one) but $500 for a two point strut seems pricey to me. Can prob get a spoon one for £150.

Possibly a dc2 strut brace with a civic sticker?

The US market tends to pay loads for Type R parts lol whack a huge price on it, so that's probably some reason. They're worth a lot more over there just being JDM.
I won a Spoon rear strut for like £45 long ago lol

Yeah I know the market in the US is really marked up but $500 for what looks like a really standard strut seems crazy.

Well i won it for £21 quid so not all bad ill just hsve to drill and bolt the strut to suite

Think that’s probably still a bargain to be fair. Was worried you were going to buy it for $500 :nerv:

Got one wheel finished going to start on the rest on sunday will look much cleaner (for now) cleaned up the strut brace and fitted. Now my airbox doesnt fit :wtf: so going to have to remove it and fit a 90 degree elbow. I see there is an air sensor and a small silocone hose going to the box does it matter if they are removed?

Yes i know the bay is manky haha its on the list to be cleaned whilst doing a wire tuck

Get that bay cleaned up asap haha. Good to know you didnt pay silly money for that strut brace, scene tax and people willing to actually pay it boggle my mind  What you planning to tuck wire wise? Good to see another active build, whats your long term goal mate?

Haha i know its terrible isnt it!! Nothing major tbh going to relocate battery tuck fuse box and headlight wiring for now basically just want a good clean bay with B16a (engine next year) and tiny bit of stance nothing crazy.

Type R lip looks spot on, you going to black out the bumper grill or leave it silver?
