Hi.
Iv just turned 17 and is about to start my driving test.

I was wondering how much is insurance on a stock ej9. and ios it cheaper to hav multi drivers on the car.

Everyone's prices will vary but being only 17 and the way insurance is I'd bet you'd be at least 2k

You are most likely going to be bent over and 2k plus taken off you if your lucky.....

Id expect alot more thought try price comparison get a rough id hope you have a garage to say you keep it in and an older driver or female to put on the policy as it will bring it down.

I paid £1200 for my first year on an EJ9 but that's was 5 years ago now.

Jimbo now you are being funny 5 years is along time and since then insurance companies have gone bonker. Back to the point it all really depends on were you live really like above look on comparison sites and give some well known companies a call.

P.s. look in the insurance section

You can't answer his question about prices as every one has differing circumstances in different areas.

My comment was a comparision of what insurance used to be like and didn't require a sarcastic comment from yourself.

Jimbo im sorry i didnt mean to be sarcastic. Here is a little smiley face for you :)

My son insured his EJ9 2 years ago at 17 and his best quote was £2300 with ecar. The other thing that went against his selection of insurance was that most companies will not give you monthly payments until you are 18 so that limits choice a lot unless you can pay up front in one lump sum.

Your not going to pay 2k no chance, 1st of all insurance has literally doubled compared to last year and you live in london mate that is alone going to kill you. Before you get a ej9 go on comparison sites make a few calls and try out few quotes first

Go for a multi car policy if you can and stick your mum on it. We have my bro's ek9 and his ej9 and my jordan, and we saved a mint. or when i had my ej9 at 17 my mum put her name on the v5 and then insured it with me as a named driver.

Hope this helps

Sorry to hijack your thread, I'm 17 and I've just passed my test, and I want to buy a civic as my first car but my insurance is way too expensive in my area.

May I ask where you live to get a price like that?
