Guys, got my ek3 in for some work and it needs a trailing arm replaced. The garage can’t find one for sale does anyone know where I could find one or a breaker who might have one?

That’s the boy. The metal part that runs through the bush has snapped so it’s not attached to the chassis any more

A whole trailing arm? not just the bush?

Many thanks for that. Yeah the garage wanted to replace the whole arm ‍♂️ I asked why not just the bush as the arm was okay. I haven’t seen one for sale so I didn’t think it was common to replace them. I’ll get both sides ordered up and get them to replace both.

Yeah as said, if the arm is straight and fine then there's no need to replace the whole arm - just makes for more work. It's pretty common for the RTA rear trailing arm bush to go on old cars like these hondas. Can just replace the bushes as said :)

I see thread is few months gone but anyone who encounters this problem the rear suspension is shared with rover 200 (xw chassis thats wedge shape)also rover 45 or mgzs these are becoming scarce in scrappys now but more common than honda straight swap

I highly doubt you need to replace your arm, just the bush. I’m about to do mine, common problem, I’d personally polybush both sides, I use the Hardrace rear trailing arm bushes, they’re around £70! You can get them on eBay, 6two1, tegiwa etc

But if for some reason you do need a complete new arm I do have one on my breaker, the bush will need replacing though.
