Hi all,

Does anybody know for certain if there is any difference between the Type R suspension bushings and those on the rest of the Ek range?

Reason I ask, is because I want to replace mine and would prefer to order them in the US.

Also, does this go for engine mounts as well? I know the Dc2-R rear mount is a bit beefier than the one on the Eg6. But does this hold true for Ek4(Em1)/Ek9?

Anybody have experience with the Mugen (engine/suspension) items, are they noticeably stiffer?

Just want to make sure I order the right stuff!

Cheers,

Benji

Ok, answered my own question, for those who are interested.

Most bushings and ball joints are identical apart from the rear compensator arm and rear upper arm, I would also suspect the rear trailing arm bushing is stiffer on the Ek9.

Engine mounts are the same, apart from the rear mount and the two torque mounts in the front. But those are the same as on the Dc2-r, so its cool.

:nice:

Thanks for sharing!

Just a quick correction, the compliance bushings and front lower arm bushings are stiffer on the nine as well.

End links are the same as on the Ek4.

After having done a bit more research I can confirm that:

51320-S04-003 (LINK ASSY., FR. STABILIZE) Are the same!

51306-S04-N01 (BUSH, STABILIZER HOLDER) Also the same!

52320-S04-003 (LINK ASSY., R. RR. STABIL) Same!

52350-S04-000 (ARM COMP., RR. LOWER) Again, same!

52390-SR3-000 (ARM COMP., R. RR. UPPER) Bingo, same!

51220-S04-003 (JOINT COMP., LOWER BALL [MUSASHI]) You guessed it, the same!

51450-S04-023 (ARM ASSY., R. FR. UPPER) Same!

For the rest of the bushings or parts that have bushings in them the numbers did not match, for example the compliance bushing or rear compensator arm. This could mean that they are stiffer on an Ek9 (which I think is the case) or maybe produced by an other manufacturer.

If anybody can shed some light on this, I would highly appreciate it.
