Hi everyone,

I already have some Legend 2 pots calipers and I would like to fit them on my EK4. Now, I use a stock 15/16 master cylinder but I know that an 1" MC is also required. I have some questions for which I haven't found any answer till now.

1. Can I use an ITR master cylinder with my current brake booster? Does it fit? Are ITR and EK4 boosters identical?
2. Can I use an ATR master cylinder with my current brake booster? Does it fit? Are ATR and Ek4 boosters identical?
3. Can I use an Prelude V booster + MC? Does prelude V have 1' MC? Does it fit on my chassis?

Thanks!

Use an MB6 master cylinder, can get them without having to pay scene tax and does the same job as an ITR/EK9 one.

I read online that you have to bend the lines if you use an MB6 one, but I just unclipped them from teh retaining bracket on the firewall and they fit fine :)

As far as I know, Civic 1.8 vti (b18c4) MC is a 3/4 inch master cylinder. Will it perform better than my 15/16 mc?

I use a 1" DC2 master cylinder on my EK, the MC and servo are a direct fit. I'm pretty sure the EK9 MC is the same as the DC2 MC.

Its a 1" MC on the MB6 (B18C4).

The ones the EK9 and DC2 are made by Nissin (both the same), whereas the ones on the MB6 are made by Lucas. They have the exact same function.

I saw a 3/4 Lucas MC for sale on ebay and the seller said that it comes from a mb6 b18c4 vti. Maybe he was lying. Thanks for your help but can somebody confirm that ITR and ATR MCs are identical? Also are Ek4 and itr brake boosters different (size, performance despite the fact that the mc fitting are the same)?

Yes they are different. ITR/EK9 MC on EK4 brake booster give a spongey pedal feeling.

The s2000 are also 1", they sell cheaper than itr ones here in Portugal, not sure if it fits directly on the ek but worth looking for it
