ek4 rally car

Well thank you, didnt think anyone would drag this thread back from the depths.

Car works fantasticaly, done 2 autotests which i got FTD, done a sprint at st eval which was my first time at the venue, and won the 1600 class, started the Patriot stages at Caerwent in september and took it easy in the conditions as was our first stage rally, and was running a comfortable 28th overall having started at 98, but the clutch died on the last stage.
Then did the Prima motorsport stages at smeatharpe on october, not a brilliant venue but not far from home so useful to get more time in the car before next year, and even tho spent the whole day stuck behind slower cars as i was seeded at 53 from 62 due to no previous results, we still finished 11th overall and won the 1600 class by 1 min 52....,and was made sweeter by the fact i drove there and back as couldnt afford a trailer ( dad was entered so was using his trailer, finished 7th overall and 2nd in the 2 litre class using a standard engine) We were loosing on average 5 seconds a stage to dad, which was caused by traffic so happy with that, seeding will be better next time.

A couple of pics to make up for the boring writing....

Cheers mate, very happy with how it works straight out of the box.
Plans over the winter are limited, changing the master cylinder and servo to try and improve the pedal, and modify a 4-1 manifold so it fits with my sump guard, as only running a standard manifold at present which has dropped it down to 172bhp, so it should be alittle quicker.
But otherwise no plans as ive already started to buy the required parts to go k20, so refuse to spend money on the b16.
Already got my entry in for brean, never done it before so will see how it goes.

Hows yours and your brothers cars doing?

Saw you at Brean today :) How did it go?

The commentator said you had a 1.5 engine?

If you're planning on going K20 have a look at the sump clearance first, it's very low to the ground.

Well....., yesturday was rubbish, so slippery and didnt know what it was like as never done the event so the times were biff, lying 33rd and 5th in class.
Today the stages were dry and longer so i could get into them abit, and started going very well, moved up to 2nd in class, only dropping about 7 seconds a stage to the tappins, and one second to darren underwood, then avoiding a bmw who was so un-predictable in his driving, i lost the back end and parked it under 3 feet of water in a gullie, ill post pics up tomorrow but the cars very bent now :-(
