awesome! why did you choose such a low vtec cross-over point? your car might bog for a second when it hits vtec if its too low.

thats right! I had a vtec controller on my car because I was missing the vtec on gear change, mine doesnt come in until 6200?? I lowered it to 5800 then 6000 but all i found was that you could hear the vtec come in but there was no pull in it until it was at the normal vtec point,

I have 9003rpm's up on the RSM in my car and its standard

I talk to the ecu guy, and I will have vtec until 5600 RPM  i hope to get good results ;)

vtec controller alone is not enough you need to swich fuel and ignition maps also.

RVM if jon at phearable recomended it im sure he tuned your fuel/ignition for it to work properly. i would not worry about it.

vafc 2 set up on the rollers ;)

while it may be better than nothing, it still does not adjust ignition. like you said its a vafc = vtec air fuel converter. so while you can compensate with fuel you still cant adjust spark. atleast you got it tuned on a dyno though. im not bashing or anything. this is just my opinion. :)

I always adjusted timing on the B series engine at the distributor using a timing light..............................

but that adjusts throughout the whole rpm range, you need to have an off-vtec fuel/ignition map and an on-vtec fuel/ingnition map, you cannot do that from the distributor. the afc can adjust fuel at certain rpm points but the distributor CANNOT adjust ignition at certain rpm points. so your left with fuel tunning but NOT ignition.
