EK9 Racecar

As i said before youve definately done a good job of it, very well put together and its making good power at only 7psi.
Shame about the boost controller but we'll get to the bottom of that soon enough im sure.

Smiles per miles! Looks savage even with 0.5bar! This thing is going to chew once its finished

Thanks guys I'm chuffed! :))
Need to sort the oil pressure problem before the trackday at the end of February, if not I won't risk it.

Might even be out in the garage this afternoon tinkering :naughty:

Nice update, seems good for small amount of boost,
Check your pressure relief valve for scores if you haven't already.

Yeh man she pulls well for 7psi.
Yeh that the next thing, will have the sump off this week to check

Always awesome to see vids like this in times when you're a bit iffy about doing a turbo conversion or not.

Nice progress and glad you're keeping it updated :nice:

Just wait for the high boost video!

Haha indeed won't be long.
Also have more updates on the way before the end of the month. 25th is the first shakedown at Combe!

Forgot to say that oil pressure problem is now fixed!
One of my oil squirters had snapped off! Luckily it found its way to the magnet on the sump bung.

Also one of the pressure relief valves for the squirters was stuck open!

Solution was to get some squirter blanks from Golden Eagle in the USA, came in 3 days.

Fitted them in place, and also inspected oil pressure relief valve in the pump which was all ok.

Was also nice to inspect the bores while I was down there, all looking good too!
In the process of fixing a TPS issue which is wiring or TPS, also the boost controller, and setting up the suspension for alignment next weekend plus some aero bits.

And this is a teaser pic! On inspection of my old setup it was FUBAR'd / bordering dangerous.....
Didn't want to do these yet but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Serious rice and beans for tea the rest of the year now.
Will get more pictures when set up.

Nice to see this project is still full steam ahead and that you have bonded well with jesse888. It's funny how he almost bought my blue ek9 well swap with his s2k back in the day before he was on the ek9 scene and then years later you bought my white ek9 and become friends haha.

Did you guys go to Nurburgring together in the end ? I must try and tag along in the future.

Not bad for 20yr old sills!

I decided to weld on the BYC mounting brackets rather than the supplied nuts and bolts.

Even had some NH-O left over so used that.

Got the front splitter mounted today too, inc air dam.
Had to weld in some 10mm nuts for the centre bracket.
