Anyone upgraded their rear brakes from stock, im looking for suggestions and advice on what people are running and any modifications needed.

Thanks

Standard calipers, mtec grooved discs, project mu ns400 pads, braided lines and Motul RBF600 fluid. I don't think you need anymore than that tbh mate.

Sounds a good combo mate, im stock at the minute however my calipers are tired and old so looking to upgrade.
For the price of new oem nissin or refurbing mine, ive been thinking of evo rear brembos for extra track performance and looks.
What do you think mate, worth the hassle?

I really don't think it's worth it, last thing you want to do is alter the bias with different piston sizes etc. I've never had a problem with the brakes on track and I'm boosted, in fact me, Jesse and Mike all run standard rear calipers on track. I'd buy some nice new oem ones!

Thats quite amazing mate for the power you guys are running. To be fair my whole front/rear braking system is stock and never had a issue on track with 13hours abuse in total, still going strong, never had fade, juddering etc just pure braking power.
For info my setup is:
Oem honda calipers
Oem honda discs
Oem honda pads
Ate typ200 brake fluid
Goodridge braided lines all round
Brake stopper

My engine is stock aswel so lets say 185bhp!

That's a nice setup for the power level! The only thing that may get pushed to it's limit there is the stock pads after some big stops, but if it ain't broke.......

Thanks mate, so far so good, i think i like that about if it aint broke dont fix it. I like to appreciate the engineering and r&d thats gone into our cars, esp for the age!
I need a bit of bling on my rears though, ha.

I bought refurbished nissin rear calipers for mine recently.
The rear of the car is so light and it doesnt need much braking force as the weight is shifted forward when braking.
Half decent rear pad and brake fluid and thats about it for a track car as far as the rear goes.
