Howdy everyone.

Been a long time since I last posted here, tried searching for my old thread of my EK9 but looks like its died just like my EK9 did.

Bit of back story ... pulled the B16B to fund a K swap in the car. Hit a rough patch and parted the car out and sold the shell to someone who reshelled an EK4 into it.

How she looked prior to me parting her out.

And then when I bought her back 3 years later

Pics I got sent when I found out it was for sale again.

When I collected the car (yes I know the ABS light is on, damaged a sensor somehow :( )

Yes that's a broken light and dented tailgate

The stripping of the EK4 parts started the minute we got back to my friends place. Had a few spares that my friend had bought from me and was kind enough to put back onto the car.

Borrowed me his WRX seat while I wait for the interior to arrive.

Dirty as anything inside the car, will be getting a steam clean next weekend.
Cleaned the bay as it was very dirty. (Dont want to remove the motor with grime everywhere)

Got myself a set of 16" TE37's to go on the car when the 5x114 hubs go on, will be getting them refurbed in matte black

Thank you for reading.
Comments, crits, part sale help and pointers are welcome :)

Nice one hope you'll get to finish what your original plans were best of luck

Thank you! Fetching a donor car next week friday which should expedite the rebuild :)

Nice job, looks rust free-climate makes all the difference

Look forward to seeing how you get on dude, glad you managed to get it back too!

Nice bro, looks like it's in good shape other than the obvious damage and missing bits!

Thanks guys.

Small bit of an update.
Flew down to Cape Town to go fetch the donor car. Which turned out to be more of a nightmare than anything else.

Its a complete ek9 that got rebuilt and resprayed, some small bits and pieces that were original, and the tatty seats will be getting a do over once the builds nearing completion.

Here is the car we drove 1450kms to bring home.

Still a lot of work to be done. Motor and box will be in the car by the weekend.
Hub swap to be completed by middle of the week.

Then its waiting from parts to arrive from Japan to complete the assembly and then its off to paint to get a new lease on life.

Small update

Bonnet arrived, rims have been sent off to be refurbed.
Waiting on grille, lips and headlights to arrive from the dealership.

Not much in the way of big progress.

Had a bit of a space issue and eventually resolved that, towed the car back to my house so the progress can continue.

In the interim the poly bush kit arrived to replace all the worn out and old bushes.

Parked in its old home.

Arriving later this week are the new LCA's as the ones on the car are old and frankly I dont trust them.

Plan for the weekend is to remove all the hubs so that I can put the original 5 x 114 hubs back on. Secure the coils properly to the new LCA's and get the car into a more movable state to get it ready to be sent to the paint shop.
There is a lot of prep work to be done and still waiting on Honda Japan to send the Headlights, Grille and both Lips.
